    I contacted this business on November 18 to request a quote to fix damage to my roof that was causing leaking in my house. They came out and went onto my roof, but told me that they were going to repair the roof that day. I told them no, stating that they were only here to provide an estimate. They said OK, and said that they would send me an estimate shortly. They left. On November 28, I received a call saying that they wanted to schedule an appointment for my roof repairs. I again told this company no, they were supposed to send me an estimate for the repairs, which they had not done. I again informed them that I had only contacted them for an estimate and I had not hired them to do any repair work. On November 30, I called the company to let them know that I would not be hiring them for any roof repair work. On December 5, I received a bill for repair work to my roof in the amount of about $405. They claimed to have fixed open seams on my flat roof. That is a lie. for starters, my roof is not even close to flat. Also, they did not do any repair work. The only time they were on site was the original November 18 visit, at which time I stood outside and watched them on my roof. They only took pictures, and did not do any repair work. The invoice also includes pictures of my roof, which is harped. It was topped by a separate company who had come out before this company. I called the company on December 5 to ask about the bill, informing them that they had in fact not done any work on my roof. They said that they would call me back the same day. They did not. I am requesting two things. The first is that this invoice be canceled, since it is attempting to collect money for work that was Neither requested nor actually done. The second is that the BBB reassess this company for fraudulent practices. The two attached photos are of the invoice that they are attempting to collect, and a photo of my very not flat roof that was touched by another company, ******* ***********

    Good afternoon,

    I have attached a copy of the complaint for your reference, and I have copied Bod G******* the President Of Virginia Roofing. . After further review of this matter, we have cancelled the invoice that the customer was billed for. It seems to be a miscommunication issue on both ends. This matter was truly just a misunderstanding. We are in the middle of a new program and training this program with pictures, notes and materials things has been a challenge. If there is anything else I’m able to assist you with, please do not hesitate to reach out.

    I am rejecting this response because: I take issue with the fact that they claim this was a misunderstanding on "both ends". I was extremely clear in all of my communications with this business that my goal was only to acquire an estimate for the work. I even stated to them directly (both in person and over the phone) that I was not hiring them to do any work. I really do not know how much clearer I need to be. The fact that they are claiming that there was any lack of clarity on my part is irritating at best.

    Again, I would like to call on the BBB to review this business's rating. This business's conduct has been unprofessional and disrespectful.
