I attempted to resolve this issue with Dominion Anesthesia and was informed their standard charges for having an anesthesiologist in the room without administering or conversing with a patient is $1280 for 26 minutes of being in the same room as me without doing anything. The Dominion Anesthesia representative, ******** ******, also claimed there is not a standard charge and each provider charges a different rate based on what state they practice in and that they were unwilling to lower the cost based on information my delivery doctor and I provided. I did file a formal dispute letter with the company per their policy guidelines on 5/8/2025 and was told it would not go anywhere. I think billing this amount for doing nothing is egregious and deserves to be investigated.

    I got surgery on August 29th of 2022. A bill was sent to an incorrect address on the 24th of September. Had i not reviewed my claims online with my health care provider would have never even know I had a bill. I contacted them and they provided a new bill. I paid part of the bill on 11.17.2022 and by the 11.24.2022 they sent me to collections. A supervisor was reviewing my account and never contacted me back, even though their system made a mistake. It's now January 11th,  2023 and still no supervisor has contacted me back. I'm now in the process of working with a lawyer. It's not hard for a supervisor to return a call. Mind you i called them on December 7th, and December 12th about this issue both times a supervisor was promised to call back again its January 11th, 2023 and no call back. I'm awaiting all my recorded calls regarding this.
