    We recently set up a move across country with Dedicated Van Lines. We notified ********** (Dedicated Van Lines rep) that our first available date to receive our household goods would be Tuesday June 14th which was written on the contract. On the day of the move, 2 movers showed up (we were told we would have 3) and we quickly realized they were not employed by Dedicated Van Lines (paperwork indicated "Witty Movers" as the actual moving company). Apparently Dedicated Van Lines contracts the work out once they sign you up which created several challenges. A few days after our items were picked up, we were contacted by the movers and asked if we could accept our items early on Monday June 13th. Since we had to sign closing papers at 11AM on that day and would not have our keys to our new home until the afternoon, we clearly explained that we could not accept our household goods until the afternoon. The movers appeared content and the move was then planned for Monday the 13th. Then, the night before (June 12th) our move, we received a text message indicating that we would be charged $150/hour "wait fees" for each hour past 11AM that we were not at our home. We immediately tried calling and texting to dispute the fees and did not receive responses from either Dedicated Van Lines or Witty Movers. On the day of our move, as expected we did not receive our keys to our new home until 2:15PM (earlier than expected since we were told it would be 3PM) and immediately drove to our home arriving at 2:30PM. We were told by the movers that we needed to pay the remaining amount for the move in addition to $600 for "wait fees" prior to them starting to unload our items. We are requesting a refund of $600 for the erroneous "wait fee" charges given that we were very clear about our first move in date (June 14th which was written on the contract) and that the only way we could accept our goods early would be to accept them in the afternoon on June 13th.

    clients need to be available for us when we are delivering. Having a truck sit there for 6 hours causes charges ** wait fees.
