Pursuant to Va, Code ********, any "advertisement [that] contains any promise, assertion, representation or statement of fact which is untrue, deceptive or misleading, or uses any other method, device or practice which is fraudulent, deceptive or misleading to induce the public to enter into any obligation, shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor." *** is the 13th largest public school district, but has a per-pupil expenditure unparalleled by any other in the state, or any suburban district in the ***, including *************. These are the second-best public schools in the state, for that investment, the largest line item in the county budget, amounting to almost $750 million, with a quarter million dedicated to the Superintendent, the former superintendent of one of the worst in **. 90% of the school-age kids attend these public schools, in an affluent community with a median household income of $140,160, and median home value of $$864,800--not quite ********; however, the County claims "with 78% holding a bachelors degree or higher", it is the most educated municipality in ********. Yet, in this most progressive community, there are neither any men or any Blacks on the school board, and only 10.5% of non-Whites age 25 and above hold at least a baccalaureate degree. Realtors and homeowner moms who relocated here say proudly they came here for the public schools; however, in the Class of 2022, while breaking records in college applications, even though 92% of kids say they want to go to college, only a third take the SAT, and 86% of those who had applied to ******, ****** ******' **** mater failed to gain admission, only 1 of 96 got accepted to *******. Far worse, 43% failed to gain admission to 91% selective VCU. ******** is ranked sixth in the nation for learning loss, and not even one local leader sees this as a priority, focusing on respecting kids' choice of personal pronouns, participation in extracurricular sports and where a kid can use the restroom.
