I paid Cathy a $2500 deposit ($3000 total invoice) for a wedding dress for my wedding on May 6, 2023. Cathy made many promises about how she could customize the gown to "enhance it." The photo below (the image with two people, the bride's full face not shown) is the gown I initially tried on in June 2022. The business committed to obtaining this gown in a champagne color, size 2, with an extra skirt, custom veil, and garment bag. After submitting the deposit, the situation took a turn for the worse. Cathy postponed several appointments, and I finally managed to try on the dress in January 2023. (Photo taken in the mirror with the bride's face visible.) The quality of the work was extremely disappointing. The lace was peeling off the gown and sewn over other lace. The details did not match on both sides, and the alterations simply did not fit properly. I left the appointment in tears. The business and I discussed my dissatisfaction with the product, and the fact that I needed to purchase another gown due to the dwindling time before the wedding. The business apologized and promised to refund the amount I paid for the second gown, while still providing the alterations and custom veil I had initially paid for. I agreed to this, but the business never actually refunded the amount. As a result, I turned to another company to alter my new gown due to the loss of trust. Subsequently, the business offered a partial refund along with the flawed product, which we accepted as we simply wanted to put an end to this nightmarish process. However, the business failed to deliver the promised refund or product, despite their offer, and regardless of numerous attempts to obtain updates. A mere two days before the wedding, the business informed us that if we wanted the refund, we would need to take legal action. To this day, I have not received any refund or product from this business, and I have come to the realization that I was being deceived throughout this entire ordeal.

On Jun 9, 2022 I hired Cathy Ebrada to sew a wedding dress for my daughter *******. She runs a wedding boutique and sewing studio out of her home. Based on the dress ******* tried on, I paid her $2,500. My daughter's wedding is in 2 days and we have no dress and no refund. In the fall, when ******* saw that the dress she was promised was not being created, she asked for a refund. Up until this week we were told that she would give us a partial refund and a dress we could resell. This week she told my future son in law that we would have to take her to court to receive any refund or dress. Thank you for your help!
