This breeder took our $529 deposit, was constantly unresponsive when contacting her, and ultimately never gave us a puppy or a refund wasting a year of our lives waiting on a dog from this breeder when we could have gone somewhere else. ---- In 2022 we bought a golden from this breeder and overall had a good experience with her. A year and a half later in February 2024, the pup we had bought from her died suddenly from what the vet believes was an aneurysm. I reached out to let the breeder know about what happened and told her we would be interested getting another puppy since we loved our sweet boy so much and he was such a beautiful golden. In March 2024 she said she would give us a discount on the next puppy and had said that Fitz (the first female dog litter we attempted to get a pup from) was in heat the previous week and if she took, would be 60 days away from delivery and had stopped eating that week (showing signs of potential pregnancy but nothing officially confirmed). The breeder sent over an invoice and we paid $529.50 on April 4, 2024. After the deposit I reached out to her via text for updates and a constant pattern with this breeder is that she is unresponsive, where I had to send multiple messages in order to get a response. She never once texted me on her own with an update. On July 29th, 2024 she tells me the dog had a “false pregnancy”. By September 2024, still no luck with that dog getting pregnant and so we decided we’ll get a pup from a different litter this time, Emerson. In October 2024 the breeder said in an update that Emerson was ready and being left alone that night with the male pup. On November 20th the breeder said she was thinking mid December 2024 for delivery. January 9, 2025 the breeder said they didn’t see anything on the xray other than a swollen uterus. She said in those messages she would promise to have more concrete news for us soon. That was the last I heard from her.
