      In 2018, I received a notice stuck through my door jab (regular way to deliver notices) that I owed $8 in "fees." I was puzzled since in the 4 years I've lived here. I've NEVER been late on my rent. I went to the office and there was a notice that it was closed until further notice. I dropped a check with a cover letter asking for an explanation. I called several times, and finally got to talk to a *** and made an appointment to go in. The *** pulled up my ledger which showed ***eated unexplained $1 charges. My ledger also showed that I had been paying a little over $600 for rent (as my latest recert cover page stipulated) and that my rent was charged as $566. I had an overage of $487 for the first 7 months of my lease! I asked what was to be done, and the *** said it would be refunded.Since landlords have all the power and I did not want to make waves, I waited. Early in 2024, I got a notice that I would be refunded. Over 5 years after being fraudulently overcharged.

      I have been dealing with the CHP Energy Solutions for the past 2 years and nothing has happened since applying and being approved a year ago but to get a letter dated March 20, 2023. The letter stated that the Weatherization Assistance Program applied for was previously approved but now to keep the approval the program requires that my application be recertified and get updated income documents. THIS IS A ABSOLUTE FRAUD OR SOME TYPE OF BUREAUCRACY TO OBTAIN MONEY FROM THE GOVERNMENT OR SOMETHING. The process makes no sense, they obtain all your personal information, financial documents and do nothing. What are they doing with your information? My application was with 126 S. Bayard Avenue, Waynesboro, VA 22980. The excuse given is size of a waiting list; that's a joke, these counties are not large and the senior population is small, seem to use senior information to stay in business and never provide any service or maybe to just a select few to remain relevant. All wrong doings will come to light.
