      I booked my hotel stay on April 16 around 3pm , after i put on my credit card info the system crashed down . I did not get a confirmation through email . So i decided to book another hotel this time its kingsport Tennessee since im heading there for the night. Immediately I got the confirmation. When i opened my email I found another message from choice hotel confirming the Quality inn booking , i decided to cancel as i have the other confirmation . I called Choice hotel at around 4:30 upon seeing the confirmation in order to cancel the Quality Inn booking spoke with customer service of Choice Hotel who adviced me to call the direct number of the hotel but the person who answered was not helpful in fact he was do rude and said it cannot be refunded and cancel since ACCORDING TO THEIR POLICY IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CANCELLED ON APRIL 15??? How can i cancel a transaction that happened on April 16??!! Called again to Choice Hotel customer service and this time i got a nice lady who tried to help me. She said QUALITY INN will only charge me for $20 , not the full amount.But now i saw they charge me for $102.92 . I don’t think this is fair since I already settled for a $20 charge and also it was not my fault when their system crashed down and now they charge for $102.96 that I did not even consumed. By the way I’m a Choice Hotel member for many yrs but Im now in doubt whether to continue being a member. I need my refund.

      We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience you had to go thru. A refund in the amount of $79.92 has been processed. For future reference, please remember that our cancel policy is 24 hours, so if you book a room on the day of arrival, there will be no cancellation, since it's less than 24 hours of arrival. Also, I understand you mentioned that the system crashed when you were booking a reservation, but then you decided to book another hotel and not the same hotel. If you would have booked a same hotel, we can easily see a duplicate reservation and we would have cancelled one of the reservation.
