    Easter Fencing installed our fence in November 2017. The gate on the left side of the house ( when facing the house) was installed improperly as the end of the gate had to be "lifted" to connect and lock in place. As soon as we discovered this we asked Easter Fence to repair as it took a lot of effort to lift and lock and we were afraid it would not lock and become a safety hazard for children and animals. We notified Easter Fencing on numerous occasions both by phone and text and got the same answer " we are coming to fix it". Fast forward to this year, the gate actually broke from all of the lifting. We contacted Easter again on July 10 that the gate broke because of the lifting. We were told Easter would fix it. It is now 5 months, as of December 15,2023, since we contacted Easter with multiple text messages and phone calls from July through October 2023, the gate is still broken. We are asking for the gate that was improperly installed in 2017, and broke because of that installation in July 2023, to be repaired. We have the string of text messages dating back to June 2018.

    We have contacted the customer and ordered a new gate to replace the one that is broke. We have told them that once the manufacturer has built the gate we will be there the next day to replace it with the damaged one.

    I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
    Hi, While I appreciate the note that says the gate was ordered, the complaint will not be resolved until the new gate is installed. This vendor has a history of promising to do something and not doing it, thus I can’t say “ resolved” until the work is done. Thank You

     I can get the manufacturer to send me a letter stating that the gate is in production with Complaint's name on it. We have every intention of installing the new gate.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
