A friend recommended this practice so we used the contact us portion of their website to indicate we were interested in having them prepare our taxes. Two emails were received asking us to upload our documentation which was done within a day. Documentation uploaded on March 24 and again on March 27 because we heard nothing from the practice. We thought there might have been an error and didnt want to run the risk of delaying matters. We sent two emails (April 5 and April 8) inquiring about status of returns. Had to threaten to take business elsewhere via email on April 8. Received a reply on April 9 saying taxes were completed and ready for review. Reviewed and e-signed on April 9. Spoke with ***** via phone (not sure what day this was) to clarify they would be doing the filing and that we didnt need to do anything more. She confirmed this. Spoke with an *** agent on May 9 (about a separate matter) who also indicated to us that the 2024 return had not been received. The amount owed has not been withdrawn from the bank. We have been trying repeatedly in the last week to reach someone by phone, email, and text. Nothing but auto response texts. We expect that if any late fees are incurred, they will pay them as we feel we have acted in a timely manner to facilitate this process.

    Hi BBB,

***** from The Tax Ladies did reach out a few days after this complaint was filed. She acknowledged my tax return was filed late due to an issue on their end. She also indicated that if any late fees or penalties are levied, they would take care of them. As of this email, theres no indication of any late charges. I have Libbys contact info should I need to reach out to her to close this last piece of the case. Also, the preparation fee for the tax return ($278, I think) has not been charged so I am assuming she has waived this because of the problems with this return.

    Thank you,

    ***** Mann

The Tax Ladies in ***************, ** were paid $250 on 3/10/2022 to resolve a tax issue that I had with the *** in the amount of about $160,000. I provided her with all documents requested and she informed me that she had all that she needed and the the issue was resolved and completely taken care of, relieving me of the debt to the *** completely. She let me know that I may receive a couple more notices from the *** regarding the matter but to ignore them due to them being backed up and it may take a while for them (***) to resolve this tax issue on their end. Today after about a year and a half of no more notices, I received another notification from the *** now saying that I owe $220,000 for the same matter that she assured me was handled. That additional amount is interest accrued in that time frame. The State of Va has also seized $38,000 from my account for this same matter. I, along with my current accountant have tried to reach her many times regarding this matter before that amount was seized from my accounts, to get whatever documents that she claims to have sent to the *** for the initial amount. She has not returned any phone calls nor emails.
