    I bought an acdcx unit from hotspot a year and a half ago
    I’ve had nothing but problems with the unit and their tech support
    At this point the have my money and my unit and won’t return either
    Never buy from this company!

    Several years ago I bought a Chiltrix heat pump model# CX34 from HotSpot Energy in Chesapeake, VA. This is an air-to-water heat pump so was intended to heat the water for my home hydronic system -and- domestic hot water.
    Since installation, whenever there's a power failure in my neighborhood the CX34 goes down and can't be restarted. The error code always points to the "IPM", which is the main power module.
    They have required me to personally open up this machine, replace this complex electronics module, and try to restart it. Every power fail it is the same module. Obviously this is a design problem which now qualifies under federal lemon laws statutes.
    I have had enough of HotSpot Energy. Their equipment is junk, depriving me of heat and showers invariably in the coldest winters.
