    I decided to return a purse I bought. On the company website it states that returns are free. Not so. When I took the package to **** to ship it back to the American Leather Company, the label they sent me only covered 9 ounces of shipping. I had to pay a difference of $** (for a total of *** and some change). When I contacted the company about it, they told me they could not refund me the *** because I already paid it. They also knew it was and ongoing problem, because the customer service person told me they "usually" fix the shipping cost BEFORE people pay the difference to ship the item back, once they are informed of the discrepancy. I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS A PROBLEM UNTIL I WAS AT THE POST OFFICE! I shouldn't have to go home, tell the company the label doesn't cover the shipping cost, get another label, and go back to the post office A SECOND TIME. Via numerous emails back and forth, I was offered *** to shop on their website with. Uh, no because I will NEVER shop their website again. In a subsequent email I was told the problem was fixed, for customers after me, BUT ZERO SOLUTION WAS GIVEN TO ME. RIDICULOUS.
    >>> If it were my company and we didn't have an official way to refund a customer FOR THE PROBLEM THE COMPANY CREATED, I'd write a personal check and mail it, even if that was the only to make right with a customer what the company screwed up on!!!
    >>> BEWARE, PEOPLE, THEY RIP YOU OFF IN REGARD TO THEIR "FREE RETURNS". BUYER BE VERY AWARE.
