    We entered into an agreement with Kevin Smith 8/27/23 to replace our shingle roof with a metal roof.He asked us to pay for the materials that was $5,340.The remaining balance of$3,444 for labor would be paid upon completion of the roof.He stated that it would take him about 3 weeks to get the supplies and work would be completed in 3 days.We reached out to Kevin but he did not return our calls.
    This is the timeline of events that occurred:
    Sept.5- He had to get a new phone.The supplies had come in and he would come the following week.He did not show up.He shared it had been to hot to put his guys on the roof.
    Sept.18th-Reached out by phone and not return calls.
    Sept.22nd-We sent a text message to refund our money if he could not complete the job.
    We received a text message he had Covid and he would do the job when he got over this nasty virus.
    -Sept.25th-On the way to the doctor.He has had Covid now 3 times.He would do the roof when he was feeling better and would keep us updated.
    -Sept.27th-He is doing breathing treatments and would do the roof when he was in “standard condition “ and would keep us updated.Thank you for our patience.
    -Sept.30th-Reach out and said contact us by Oct.2nd .We have not received a text or phone call since September 27th.
    We want a full refund of money so we can get someone else to complete the job.We are ready to seek legal action if the matter can not be resolved.
    We received the name by a friend but I do not feel this person knows what he is doing to citizens in our community.We would never have hired him if we knew this is what he does to people.It is our hope that the matter can be resolved without legal actions.We are a retired couple on a fixed income.We feel strongly that he has taken advantage of us.

    ******** *******9 am on 11/17/22 to provide the invoice number. Never happened! Reached out several times to contact him, and the excuse there is that his phone could not send or receive calls. On 11/18/22 at 9 an we called ****** ****** and spoke with ******* to request a confirmation of that order, and he could not find any record of this. Kevin Smith did mention a ***** at ****** to contact, and ***** said he would reach out to this fella to confirm. By virtues of this pattern of behavior , and deception "giving the benefit of the doubt" We can not feel anything other than we have been scammed. The agreement and initial order we for 33 Square of roofing, and the last conversation with Mr. Smith was he ordered 32 square "96 bundles" and 3 bundles of ridge vent. Naturally we want these supplies delivered here at our residence, or a refund of our $3600 in cash. We are a retired couple that came came to him out of loyalty, and in good faith.

    I paid Mr. Smith $4,500.00 to buy material to reroof my house and he did not do the work and what work he did do on my roof made it leak into my living room and will not return my money. I gave him the money in August, and he has done nothing to complete the job. I had to get another roofer because Winter in coming. I would like my money returned to me.

    Paid Mr. Smith $4,500 to buy supplies to reroof my small house and he has not done anything except put a couple pieces of wood on the roof. The Roof is leaking, and I have asked him to return my money if he is not going to do anything and he will not. He said he was a contractor, but I don't he has a license. Isn't that fraud!
    What can I do to get my money back from this person?

    I paid Kevin Smith $3900 to purchase materials to rebuild my deck, he has not been back since. He has told several lies stating that he has Covid-19, on dialysis, and has to refinance his home to repay the debt. Needless to say, I do not have my money and he has not offered any further resolutions. The total cost was $5900,
