    Business Response

    Date: 10/25/2024

Customer came in about an overheating and coolant loss issue.
The vehicle checked over and found coolant fixed with engine oil.
Customer was explained and given on writing that the engine needs to be replaced due to overheating and head gasket issues.
Customer request that only the head gasket be replaced even knowing about the overheating and possibility of internal engine damage from the engine warping.
Customer was also informed that the coolant thermostat was faulty and causing the vehicle to continue to overheat. Customer declined and would not replace the thermostat allowing the vehicle to overheat.
Tech also found that the turbocharger diverter valve to be stuck and not closing.
Customer would also not replace the damaged/cracked ignition coil that was causing the vehicle to not run on all four cylinders and continue to drive with a massive misfire.
Customers vehicle also had multiple on-board codes found in the system:
    P00B7 ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* 1.
Customer continued to drive on the vehicle like this when told not to, that it will inflict further engine damage. Customer refused and continued to drive the vehicle.
Head gasket was reinspected and found to not be leaking, multiple tests were performed for this including a compression test and cylinder leak down. During compression testing tech found cylinder one at 120psi, cylinder two at 120psi, cylinder three at 120psi, and cylinder four at 140psi. compression readings are raised when pouring oil onto the piston head, meaning there is a piston ring failure.

First let me say that I reject any responce that was given by Percission Tunes. I feel that I was simple taken advantage of I truly believe there object was to sale me a new engine which they quoted my for $6,000 dollars or more. I learn from other meanics that my heads should have gone to a machine shop to have my head properly repaired, which couln't be done in a couple of days in which they said my car was completed. I am a 70 year old disabled veteran who is in very much need of his car. Please give me justice!
