Contacted extreme towing on April the 3rd to tow my vehicle to a repair shop in Danville Virginia the tow driver came and retrieved my vehicle gave him the key they dropped off my vehicle at the repair shop driver did not lock my door back just handed the key to the mechanic later on before I retrieve my car back in a week or so someone entered into

unlocked vehicle because it was unlocked destroyed my dash and took my radio out the part I need to repair my dash I cannot find because it's so obsolete with the year of the vehicle extreme towing does not want to take responsibility for that even after driver admitted he did not lock the door back upon transporting the car to the repair shop thought I had found a nice reasonable tow company now I'm stuck trying to find a part for my vehicle it is as if I'm trying to find a four-leaf clover plus they scratched my back bumper severely

The driver took his car to the shop and gave the key to the person in charge at the shop.  We are not responsible to lock the car, the shop should have locked the door and since it was on their lot it would be their responsiblity.

My son's girlfriend was driving my son's car yesterday morning around 9:00 down ****** Blvd when it began to smoke. She pulled it over to the side of the road. She does not live far from there so she walked home. She was afraid of driving the car any further. My son and I were both at work. I was able to get off work at 1:00 and my dad and I came to look at the car to see if it could be fixed and moved. The car had been towed. It took us at least 4 hours to get in touch with the towing company AFTER several calls to the police department to find out what happened with the car.

Once we contacted the Police Department and found out who had it, my dad and I drove to the business. We called the 2 phone numbers provided on their sign. Both numbers resulted in the same message. No one answered and no voicemail was set up to leave a message. The sign said you had to set up an appointment, but how do would you do that if you cannot reach anyone. Not only did they charge us $140 to recover my son's car (keep in mind, it was broken down, not a repo) and they would have charged us $70 a day to keep it. Were they trying to make more money by not answering the phone? I tried over and over to call the numbers and also texted both numbers to which I got no reply.

I finally posted an inquiry on Facebook asking for anyone who might know someone affiliated and got a third phone number. We finally got in touch with someone but they were not in town. Someone else called us back and set up a meeting for us to get on the let to recover the car. They asked how we were paying but then advised they only took cash.

The whole transaction was first avoidable, but that was the fault of the Police Department. But the whole transaction with the towing company was unprofessional and I believe they are taking advantage of people by prolonging the length in which they keep the car. A normal tow is usually less than $100.

We as a business strive to provide great service to the area in which we cover. The tow we did was actually a city police call in which they called us from the local Danville police department. We had to stop what we were doing because you're required to be at the scene of the call within 25 minutes. The vehicle was sitting in the middle of the road when we arrived so the police instructed us to tow it. The next day the customer (*****) called me (the owner) and I talked to her about charges and she became very rude. She called back and spoke to my secretary and was very rude again to her in regards to the charges. When the secretary went to meet with her to pick up the vehicle, she was extremely disrespectful again to her. The total charges were $140 and she only had $135.00 to pay so we took her payment and released her vehicle.
