My husband and I went to the free intro class. I was interested in signing up for the package even though I knew it would be costly. They said they were giving 50% off the enrollment fee of ninety nine dollars. That seemed steep to me. I did a little online research and found that online not only are they waiving the enrollment fee but the enrollment fee they listed was only thirty dollars..not ninety nine. They were also offering 20% off packages. When I followed up with the location, they got back to me stating it must have been for a different location and they wouldn't honor this advertised special. I assured her the advertisement was for the Fair Lakes location (as you can see in the screenshot I have provided). I don't like businesses that are inconsistent with their promotions and neither does the Federal Trade Commission. A seller charging competing buyers different prices for the same "commodity" or discriminating in the provision of "allowances" — compensation for advertising and other services — may be violating the Robinson-Patman Act.

    Dispute Resolution Team,

I'm responding to complaint ID ******** by ******* ****** on 6/12/23. Upon reviewing our membership list, ******* is a current member at Club Pilates. ******* initially found a pre-opening special from 4 years ago that was advertised on a non-Club Pilates website. We kindly explained that this is outdated information, but she demanded that she receive the same promotion. As a courtesy, we did offer the same promotion to her and we guaranteed the special price via email. This was not satisfactory to ******* and wanted to see it printed on the agreement, which we could not do because that was an outdated promotion and we have standard agreements that could not be edited, but again detailed the price for her in an email. ******* threatened to report to the BBB and state for misinformation and false advertising. Ten days later, ******* joined the studio and currently attends classes regularly.
