    At the advice of an attorney, we contacted Quinn’s to liquidate my then recently deceased father’s estate. All less than 8 year old Ethan Allen furniture; he lived alone, no pets in an upscale retirement community.
    Our hands were tied as to how to sell off the contents of the apartment, as dictated by this gated communities with all kinds of restrictions.
    After hiring movers to bring the furnishings to their location, we ended up negative $100. We made $0, nothing and god knows to whom, or themselves they gave it all away. I was with my dad to pick it all out, this was just painful! As we live in TX and he in VA, we did not have the luxury to take it all home, and they knew that. We were totally ripped off. Thankfully we kept vintage large Turkish handmade carpets my dad bought there in the 60’s or they’d been lost too. Salvation Army could not pick up in the few days (before a $3,500 payment to the retirement community was due) we had to vacate the property, or it would have been donated.
    We are still wondering why the attorney sent us to them, claiming they got him a lot of $ and how great they were, unless he had a stake in this company, it makes no sense.
    This happened 1.5 years ago, and just added to the upset I felt after my dad’s death. I would tell anyone to run the other way or you will loose your belongings. Oh, and they charge a healthy % which added to why we got nothing. Be warned!
