    I rented a violin for my child on 4/8/2023 and paid $40.8 deposit on a payment plan. I returned the instrument on 8/26/2023. At that time, the violin department worker said that the paperwork was not filled out correctly and they were charging the wrong credit card. He corrected this issue and told my wife and I that the problem was taken care off. He took the violin in his possession at the store on 8/26/2023 and told us that we "don't have to worry about anything." Nothing additional was charged due to the billing mistake on their part. Unfortunately, I did not get any confirmation paperwork from him, just a verbal confirmation. I do have the original contract for violin rental dating to 4/8/2023, and I have the credit card bill for $40.8. I do not have any additional charged. I received three phone calls starting last month (December of 2023 - 4 months after we returned the violin and 8 months after the initial billing transaction) and an email from Foxes Music stating that I did not return the violin. I spoke with the book keeper named ***********************. I asked to speak with the violin department, explained the situation to her, my wife spoke with her as well, but Foxes music continues to say that they have not received the violin, are asking for money ($81.6) on a transaction and asking us to return the violin that we do not have. When asked to speak with the same person who said "don't worry about anything" and "you are good to go," ************** was not able to let us speak with him. My wife and I are concerned that there is fraud happening. This business is denying receiving an item that we returned and is trying to charge us after telling us that no further charges will result.
