    On 09/22/2022 I contacted Rest Assured and contracted with them to have my sisters ashes scattered at sea. I requested her birthday as the date of service which was 11/13/2022. I paid their fee of 550.00 that date via my ***** ******** **** **** *****  I was told that day that the ******* (Cruise) would contact me the day before service to confirm and tell me where to meet the boat. On the 12th of November I drove 415 miles from home to ******* ****** Once there is still not heard anything from ***** ****** so I initiated contact with him at which time he canceled the service stating there was a small craft advisory which had been issued. My entire family drove from ******* and *********** ***. For this. He said Thursday 11/17/2022 would work. I explained that we’d all made the trip and have jobs and that a rescheduling was out of the question. I inquired in regard to monies being refunded at which time he advised tha no services had beefed rendered and I would receive a full refund. Since that time I’ve contacted their office numerous occasions, leaving voicemails, requesting a call back. I’ve requested my refund via voicemail. I’ve emailed and nothing. They refuse to communicate with me at all. It’s quite simple. I paid them 550.00 plus drive 415 miles, a 300.00 hotel room bill and received nothing from them. No services were received from them. Clearly they are dodging me in hopes that they will not refund the 550.00 fee that they charged. I am certain that if they as a business and above board the hassles I’ve encountered would not be going on. I’ve been pleasant the entire time. I simply feel I’m due a refund. I was told it would be refunded but clearly that’s not their intent.

    Hello,I've attached our correspondence with Mr. *****, as well as a receipt showing his refund.  I replied to Mr. *****'s 11/14/22 email yesterday. He then replied later with with details of his experience.  This morning, after reading that email, I responded with the attached email apologizing for the rare, but unavoidable situation. I also let him know that I would fully refund his payment.  Later in the day, I received this notice, so I'm assuming he has yet to receive my latest email and/or ******** refund.  If you have any questions about this issue, please feel free to reach out, as I believe we did follow through on our commitment to provide a captain for a burial at sea. Unfortunately, Mr. ***** drove the long distance on Saturday before the weather service had issued its small craft advisory that evening for the following day.  This is why the captain directs customers, especially if coming from far away, to wait for him to call the night before, for a final OK. I have not spoken with the captain about this specific event, but know that this is his standard procedure for all of his booked trips.  Thank you,***** *****
