This company is a total scam. Within just 8 hours of bringing the dog home 06/28/2025, I began having severe allergic reactions. This is my first time owning a dog, so I had no idea I was allergic. I immediately reached out to the company I have called, texted, and left messages all day with no response. I was given three days to let the owner know if this puppy was a good fit for me or not But of course, now that theyve received my payment, theyve gone silent. No support. No care. No customer service. This business is a complete ripoff. Buyers bewareonce they get your money, youre on your own.

Subject: Response to BBB Complaint Case #******** (******** *********)

    Dear Better Business Bureau,

We are writing in response to the complaint filed by Ms. ******** ********* regarding her puppy purchase from Puppy La Vie on June 28, 2025.

We take all customer concerns very seriously and would like to clarify the following:

    1.Communication Timeline
Ms. ********* reported an allergic reaction approximately eight hours after taking the puppy home but did not contact us until the following day (Sunday), when our shop was closed. We responded later that same evening once her message was received.

    2.Breed Transparency
The puppy selected is widely considered hypoallergenic. However, we inform all clients that no breed is 100% allergy-proof and encourage thorough research prior to purchase. We make no medical claims or guarantees regarding individual allergic reactions.

    **** Allergy Disclosure
At no point did Ms. ********* disclose any history of allergies. In fact, she stated she had previously owned dogs and had researched this breed. There was no reasonable way for us to predict or prevent her reaction.

    4.Signed Agreement & Refund Policy
Ms. ********* signed a purchase agreement acknowledging that all sales are final and that refunds are not offered for personal circumstances, including allergies or buyers remorse. Refunds are only considered in the case of qualifying puppy health conditions under our limited health guarantee. This situation does not meet that criteria.

    5.Effort to Assist
Although our policy does not allow returns once a puppy has left our care, we offered to assist Ms. ********* in rehoming the puppy through our client network as a courtesy. She declined this offer and instead requested a full refund, which is not supported by our agreement.

While we sympathize with Ms. ********* experience, this was an unforeseen personal health matter not the result of any misrepresentation or failure on our part. We fulfilled our obligations and provided a healthy puppy, clear documentation, and a good-faith offer of support.

We respectfully decline the refund request and remain committed to upholding our policies with transparency, integrity, and professionalism.

    Sincerely,
    Customer Support Team
