    I called ****** in Oct to discontinue my service. I got hung up on multiple times. I finally got ahold of them and the took my information, told me I would not be charged for November and they would send me a box to send the equipment back. Then they said I would be placed on a brief hold and the line was disconnected. I called back twice but was disconnected both times. So I was surprised when I saw the charges for Nov. . I called again Dec. 1st and told them my story. They told me the record showed I called to add services. I told them I had bought starlink and had disconnected their **** in october. They acknowledged that I had not used data and said I hung up on them, not true, before they could read me the required disclosure. So I listened to 30 min of disclosures and asked if I was done. They said yes and I was charged for December, even though the billing cycle starts on the 12th of the month. So I called December 27 th when I saw the bill and was told my service couldnt be disconnected until January 12th because I failed to listen to all the disclosures. I told them it was a lie but got no help. I talked to the supervisor *****************************, who told me I had not complied so he could do nothing. I asked him if he could see that I hadn't used data since November. He said he could, but he would not give back the money from Nov, Dec. and January because I disconnected the call.

    The customer has incorrectly identified Via Satellite, Inc. with ****** which is an internet service provider not affiliated with Via Satellite, Inc.  Via Satellite Inc is a subcontractor for **** Network and does installation and service on behalf of **** Network and does not invoice end users.
    Please update your records to reflect this information.  Via Satellite, Inc,. serves only the areas are VA, MD, DC, PA and WV.  This individual appears to live in WA state.

    January 5 $60 down payment that was not to be removed from account which was an upon signing. The terms and conditions were supposed to receive a $300 gift card once received email got email never received card made a phone call and they say that it was a misunderstanding that the card is only to be used for ******. But under the terms and conditions, and verbally said the ***** prepaid gift card could be used anywhere ****s excepted as it states in the terms and conditions. I am filing a complaint, because it was false advertisement, and it was never a misunderstanding. They scam people to get the contract and false hope.

    Via Satellite Inc, has no record of this customer in our database.  It appears the customer has made a claim against Via Satellite, Inc. who is a **** ******* Regional Service Provider; however the complaint appears to be against ViaSat, which is an internet service provider without any affiliation to Via Satellite Inc.

    Please remove from the profile of Via Satellite and forward to ViaSat.  ViaSat is headquartered in Florida.

    Please advise if you require additional information to close this claim and remove from the business profile of Via Satellite Inc.
