    In March, we originally contacted another engineering firm. That other engineering firm would not be able to visit our home or work on the plans we needed until May. Since we had just found out that we were expecting a baby due in November, they actually referred us to Rob with RKC Engineering because they believed that he would be able to get us taken care of sooner than they would be able to. On March 9th with met with and hired Rob, RKC Engineering, to complete the architectural framing plans for our kitchen remodeling project. We were told that all plans would be completed and supplied to us 2-4 weeks after he took all measurements needed on March 21st. We were finally able to contact him at the beginning of May and he visited our home again to take additional measurements on May 16th. At that time, we also gave him a partial payment of $1,500 hoping to speed up the process and he understood the sense of urgency that we were beginning to feel. On June 23rd, we received a hand sketch of our kitchen layout in which there were no additional details from what we had provided him with back in March. After weeks of no response to our communication attempts, we finally received an update on August 14th regarding information requested and then another on August 28th stating, "Received your email - we are working towards getting the plans completed next week. Rob." Here we are on September 21st - 28 weeks after our initial meeting with Rob and 22-24 weeks past the timeframe we were originally given to actually receive our framing plans back in March. Our remodeling project has been completely halted for several months, the use of our temporary kitchen continues well past any timeframe we could have possible anticipated and there is no possible way that our project will be completed before the baby arrives in 6 weeks.
