Purchased vehicle from this dealership and seemed like a smooth process with trustworthy people. I purchased on Saturday and on Monday transmission started jerking really bad. I reached out to the manager and he had someone to bring a vehicle for me to drive while mine was checked out. I didn’t purchase a warranty because the amount of the warranty offered was honestly more than I was willing to pay at the moment. I was made aware though that I had a 2000 mile warranty good for 30 days. I was told the next day my vehicle was fixed and it’s a programming issue. Vehicle drove great all the way until the 30 day mark so I feel as though it was fixed well enough not to have to be covered under the warranty. I am about to out of pocket put a transmission in my vehicle because honestly that will be a cheaper option than buying a whole new vehicle. I have been in the car industry myself and have never felt I have done anyone the way I was done. I should have done more research prior to this purchase as it was the exact vehicle I wanted no one else had it but it has came at an insane cost!!! Be careful and do your homework prior to making a purchase. I understand and completely am made aware that warranty’s are offered for this reason however I did notify them in the timeframe of the warranty I did purchase and my vehicle was not taken care of as I was told it would be.

    Business Response

The complaint was assigned to *** **** ***** ** *** ****, however customer purchased vehicle at out ***** location. This needs to be changed.   With that being said, our response is as follows: The customer bought the vehicle on Saturday Oct 7, 2023.  Monday Oct 16, 2023 (not Monday Oct 9, 2023 as customer stated)  we picked up the customers vehicle (60 miles away) and gave them a loaner to drive.  Our technician scanned the vehicles for codes, there were none. He checked to see if there were any service bulletins, there were not.  We had him flush the transmission while it was here since it had 80,000 miles on it.  We delivered the vehicle to the customer. The customer was satisfied that there was no longer any jerking in the transmission. The customer contacted the manager after the company warranty had expired stating the vehicle started doing the same thing.  They asked if we could find an extended warranty that they could purchase.  The extended warranty we offer can only be purchased at time of sale which we offered to the customer but the customer chose not to purchase. It’s unfortunate that the problems returned after the warranty expired, but as the customer and manager both agreed, that’s why extended warranties are offered.  He offered to trade the customer out of the vehicle.  He thought they were still in active negotiation for him to find the right vehicle for the customer when we received the BBB email.  Thank You, ******* ******** H&H Auto Sales
