    We booked 2 rooms for 8/13-8/14. We arrived at the hotel and saw that it was fairly rundown and dirty but we were tired after driving 7hours so we just stayed. They had already held money on my bank card, then ran it through again and now there is another hold on the account. Due to a terrible nights sleep, I woke up early and was sitting on the bed when a cockroach scurried a crossed the bed! Disgusting, so we left asap. My husband went to the desk and asked for a refund and they said we couldn’t because we booked through ***********, so we had to go through them. We contacted booking and the hotel responded that they were not going to refund because we only reported the roach. Not what happened. I originally asked rig a refund of the cockroach room but now I am requesting a refund for both since they have terrible customer service and run a filthy hotel that is advertised as clean and modern. All lies- false advertising.

    Please provide an email address that we can send the video from our front desk. The husband stated 3 times he did not want a discount/refund but just to report it and the video also only shows the husband tell us about the bug nothing else. It is true that we could not do a discount at the hotel as it was explained 3 times to the husband and it is not true that they were told to go through *********** for a refund or discounts. Even *********** stated the guest could not provide any evidence of anything wrong. We did tell *********** no discount/refund since nothing was found in the room and the husband stating 3 times he did not want anything but to just report it.

    I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  I don’t care what was said by my husband-I RESERVED the room and I am requesting a refund. I booked the room expecting a clean room and that is not what I received. I requested a refund for the roach room but not the other one. I think that is a compromise. I don’t understand why me requesting a refund is such an odd request. The room expectation was not met, and a refund is the honorable thing to do. I guess the hotel does not have any appreciation for guests patronage and expects guests to accept roaches in the room as part of the price? Regards, **** *****
