I decided to bid with this company on a sale that was a "donation to relay for life" 3 "mini angus" calves.
I texted the number as told with my bid information with a question on how they were selling. I did not receive a reply back from the text just that they would let me know. The next reply I received was that I had won the bid. Much to my surprise I was only wanting the 1 so I quickly texted the employee, after explaining that I could not take all 3, I was threated and told that the authorities would come to my house if I did not pay for them that night. "you owe me money" " authorities will come to your house" Truth be told, I was never told that I had to pick them up that night either. I wasn't told anything, nor did I sign anything but at this point they had my DL. I tried to explain and asked him to give them to the last bidder and no matter what I tried to explain the employee on the phone just kept threatening me. I offered to pay the difference and make the donation to relay for life as well. We ended up driving almost 2 hours to pick up the calves and pay, however upon picking them up there was no bidding receipt and they were in horrible condition not to mention. I was informed later by that there was in fact no bidding, that they took my money as the highest bid which is fraud. I also don't have confirmation that the money was in fact given to relay for life which is fraud. I also believe that relay for life wouldn't take a donation that used threats and violence to obtain. I would not recommend this auction to anyone, the employee I dealt with had me so scared and anxious and violated as a woman I feared they would show up at my house knowing my address. I have learned lessons in this situation, however using those tactics of threats are not how a business should conduct itself. They should have a legal disclaimer sent to all bidders that have not bid there before prior to accepting bids via phone, it would have changed my purchase.
