    In May 2024, the homeowner/consumer received a mailer from Regal Home Improvement Co. (Regal) offering services as a siding specialist.The homeowner contacted Regal and received a job proposal to replace rotted wood on house exterior. Along with the proposal, Regal provided a company brochure detailing the advantages of hiring Regal.Based, in part, upon the mailer and brochure, the homeowner hired Regal.The work performed by Regal under Contract 49-2 was deemed unsatisfactory by the homeowner.The false advertising in the Regal mailer and brochure included:'A member of the Better Business Bureau since 1967'FACT: Regal is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau.'Factory trained installers and factory trained installation'FACT: Regal hired untrained laborers for Contract 49-2. Regal does not employee installers but all jobs are done by outside labor.'Bonded & Insured FACT: No proof laborers hired by Regal were bonded & insured.'Class A contractors'FACT: Laborers hired by Regal for Contract 49-2 were not Class A contractors.'Over ******* satisfied homeowners/customers'FACT: A highly exaggerated claim without support.Overall, Regal is a very unprofesional company

    Order of events:

    1. Mr. ***** called our company requesting a quote for work on his home.

    2. Our representative traveled to Mr. ******* home for an in person estimate.  Mr. ***** was given the estimate on that visit and stated the price was "more than fair".  He requested we go ahead and get started as soon as possible and suggested we do not wait on the *** for approval, which we denied as we always need *** approval for homes that require it.

    3. Our company performed the contracted work.

    4. Our office called the ******* after the work was completed to make sure they were happy with the work performed.  Mrs. ***** answered the phone and stated the work was "beautiful" and noted how happy they were with the final product.  

    5. Our company mailed the invoice for final payment to the ************.

    6. We received a letter stating he was in fact not happy with our company, not because of the work performed, but because the job did not take as long as he was expecting and felt he needed to be refunded.  He then read through all of our advertisements (both online and print) and stated that he does not believe the content of these advertisements.  

    We are sorry to hear that Mr. ***** was displeased that we did a "beautiful" job in a quick turnaround time.  In our experience, this is usually what earns us 5 star reviews.
