On 9/12/24 I won what is called a lot (of vinyl record albums) from a Richmond, VA-based auction house. As I usually do, when I place my bid I include the following line in the notes to the auction house: "Items will need to be shipped. Thank you!" While that is more than enough for most locations, this auction house (who I have actually worked with before) refused to acknowledge the note. When I followed up asking about the lot I was told I forfeited it and was unable to get my purchase since I had not EMAILED them directly and picked the items up. So I paid for something I was unable to get and have had zero assistance from the location since

Hi *******, our records show that we had no contact from you regarding shipping your items until 2 days after the auction pick-up. Since you had shopped with us before and always requested shipping in advance, we assumed a local pickup will be made during the pickup time. If items are not picked up during the pickup time allotted and we are not contacted by the bidder before or during the pickup timeframe, they are considered forfeited. These terms are clearly stated in our Terms and Conditions. You were not banned from our site until you filed a claim with your credit card company/PayPal and had the money reimbursed to your account. We have responded timely and have answered all emails you have sent to us.
