I have had a contract with this company since 8/28/75…the contract states that reinspection and retreatment shall be made once a year at a charge of no more than $25 per year. The last time they showed up was 7/26/21 after having to call **** ********** to complain. At that time he promised to show up yearly if I would agree to an increase to $55. I agreed to the increase to $55 and he agreed to show up in the future. I also sent him a copy of my contract and the $55. 2022 & 2023 ,Never showed up….6/30/23 called & complained…said it would now cost me $318 per year for their service…told her of my contract and asked to have **** call me…..Never called…8/10/23 called again, talked to ***, told him of my contract…he would talk to owner and see what they could do,and call me back…Never called…8/29/23 called again, talked to **,,he would have *** call me that day…Never called. 8/30/23 called again..receptionist,,”will have *** call me today..Never called..So now that they have pissed me off,,I now want Allstate to honor mt original CONTRACT for servicing my property at the original price of $25 per year.. Copy of original contract is available to anyone who would like to see it….Allstate already has a copy.

      Business Response

      Date: 09/15/2023

We at Mitchell Pest Services take customer feedback seriously, and we appreciate the opportunity to respond to the concerns raised by *** ******. We are committed to providing exceptional service and maintaining positive relationships with all our valued customers.

*** ****** has indeed been a loyal customer of All States since 1975, and we truly value his long-standing relationship with the company. We understand his concerns, and I would like to provide a detailed account of the interactions he had with our team members.

Initially, *** ****** had a conversation with *******, who informed him about the ********* System. We appreciate his trust in our services, especially considering his 48-year history as an All States customer. We apologize for any inconvenience he experienced.

In August, there were several attempts to address *** ******'s concerns:

On 8/10, ***** spoke with *** ****** and transferred him to **, who offered to have him speak with ***.
Tom subsequently explained that inspections had been adjusted to $55.00 as of 2021 by an All States representative, and we also explained that All States merged with Mitchell Pest in May 2023.
On 8/29 and 8/30, *** ****** requested to speak with *** again, but *** was unavailable. To ensure a smoother resolution, all further interactions with *** ****** was directed to ****** as of 8/30.

****** reached out to *** ****** on 9/1 and left a voicemail message to discuss his service. On 9/7, when *** ****** called again, ****** was unavailable and returned to the office until 9/13. We apologize for any inconvenience caused during this period.

We are dedicated to resolving this matter to *** ******'s satisfaction. Our goal is to ensure that he continues to receive top-notch service and that his concerns are addressed promptly.

On 9/14, ****** called and spoke to *** ****** regarding the new ********* program.  The previous 48 year old contract could no longer be honored, as the company had changed business tactics in the control of Subterranean termites around a home using the ********* System.  In order to continue a termite warranty, we were offering to install the system at a reduced price for all current warranty customers.  An annual warranty of $375 would include the installment of ********* and a thorough inspection to the property (Normally a $1,700.00 value).

*** ****** declined this offer, so we offered to honor the $55 warranty for one more year then we would switch the to $375 ********* warranty in 2024.  *** ****** declined this as well.  At this point, we are sorry that there is not more we can do for *** ****** in the matter and we will no longer be conducting business with this customer.

At Mitchell Pest, we value our customers' feedback and strive to continuously improve our services. We appreciate the opportunity to address *** ******'s concerns.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you require any further information or assistance regarding this matter. We are committed to providing the highest level of customer service.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:I have a contract for service on my property…The contract doesn’t say that the contract ends if ALLSTATE combines with another company. It does say I have the right to terminate the contract. The company doesn’t have that right..If Allstate combines with another company then the combined new company should honor all contracts held by costomers of both businesses..The original cost for Allstate termite protection was quite expensive at that time. It was paid for by me ,with a contract guarantee for continued service unless I decide to terminate it..I can also transfer this contract if I should decide to sell. What good is any contract if it can be cancelled under certain circumstances. Now they want to offer me a new service at a cost of $375 ! I don’t need a new service, I do need the service that my contract guarantees. Read the CONTRACT ! “CONTINUOUS PROTECTIVE SERVICE” I didn’t write this, Allstate did..and it was signed by myself and the owner of the company!  And I will continue this service at a charge of no more than $25 per year as stated in the CONTRACT !!!!

      Regards,
