In May of this year, Davis Heating & Cooling was hired to rehang a chandelier, correct wiring in the entryway of our home and install recessed lighting in 2 locations. The technicians required 3 visits, damaged the ceiling which required drywall repair to the recessed lighting locations, were unable to rehang the existing chandelier resulting in having to purchase a new simpler light fixture for them to hang, the technician was afraid of heights to hang a chandelier requiring us to wait for another technician on a different day, power turned off to the front of our house for nearly a week while they scheduled someone else to repair the wiring issue and after all of this, 19 feet up on the ceiling they left black hand prints which we then had to personally obtain a 19 foot ladder to clean them off before selling our home.
The issues were communicated to the people on-site. Was told someone would be in contact to repair the ceiling damage...NOPE. We were told they would use their own light fixtures...NOPE, they used ours and we had to buy a new chandelier. Quality work...I DON'T THINK SO. 3 days to do a job over a week. Power off to the front of the house with wires hanging out of the wall. Handprints on the ceiling which we were left with cleaning up ourselves. Icing on top is a rude owner who blocks your calls and reports you to a creditor instead of working through the problem. Well, what more would you expect from a company who does terrible work to go the route of hiding behind a credit collection agency. BEWARE of this company and the owner who clearly doesn't know what he is doing. We requested a fair adjustment to the bill, and they still hide behind a collection agency. What a joke.

So all of this isnt true. No one never contacted us at office about any damage to home. We had sent several emails and call. No one never would talk to us. I text from personal phone and homeowner was very rude so yes blocked them from my personal phone. So then i sent them to collections. No one was hiding behind collection company. So it sounds like someone didnt want to pay there bill. If we had damage anything in house a normal person would have reach out to the office. Then we would have came back and fixed anything. So alot of this is a lies.

My complaint is about faulty workmanship to repair a leak in a condensate copper tubing behind a finished basement wall. The faulty repair was just revealed in early August, 2022, when a leak occurred again near the same spot, causing another $2000 in damage to my finished space. The initial leak was caused by a crack in a copper pipe that was used to drain condensate from our air conditioning unit. The repair was done by replacing a short section of the faulty pipe, instead of using a new pipe that could have been installed in an unfinished section of the basement, which is how they made the repair in August. I gave all of the details to a Davis foreman by the name of ***, and he was to report to the owner of Davis Heating and Cooling. I called to speak to the owner at least twice over the last few weeks, but he does not return my call even though I left messages explaining the problem. I did not submit a claim with my insurance because I have a $1000 deductible and because when I claimed it the last time, my premium went up.

mr.****** the system was installed in 2015. We only give a 1 year warranty on drain lines. So we was out in 2020 which is 5 years later and they repaired the leak that was in copper pipe. So then 2 years later there was another leak in a different spot in the line. At this point they advise to go ahead and replace the line. So you said to go ahead and repair the line. They gave you a price to repair the line and i told them to not charge you for the repair. So we repaired it for free for you. I did this cause i will stand behind our work even if its out of warranty. So i hope this explains everything. This is me cell number if you like to call or text me ###-###-####. Thanks

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  My complaint is not about the original installation back in 2015 because Davis Heating and Cooling Inc. was not responsible for defective copper tubing provided by the manufacturer of the copper tubing.  My complaint is with the faulty repair done by Davis in 2020.  They removed and replace a small section of the defective copper tubing instead of replacing all of the tubing with a new line going in a different direction through a non-finished part of our basement.  Davis repairmen used this new approach a couple of months ago when they responded to a new leak with substantial damage again in our finished area of the basement.  They realized that removing and replacing another section of the original defective line was a faulty approach, with the risk of resulting in a future leak.  An arbitrary one-year warranty, which we were never told about is bogus.  What is more important is a good reputation for quality work that they can stand behind.  Davis caused the recent leak and damage, and therefore should reimburse me the cost of repair.  I paid out about $2500, but purchased too much flooring.  My net cost was $2000.
