    I was given until November 22,2024 to submit 500 escrow money towards the closing of a house. I gave the check to my real estate agent ******** ***** of ****** ******** Realty in *********. She gave it to the title company and I was issued a receipt. When they house never closed due to the lender,the title company will not release the escrow that is my property. They ignored my request for a refund and talked to the agent, who told me to contact legal aid. The title in turn goes to the sellers attorney and gave them my private confidential address of a crime survivor and the attorney has been harassing me as well. The escrow was to be given back to me because it was contingent upon financing. I just want my funds back. I have extreme hardship since the house didn't close and I'm out thousands of dollars. I never agreed to gift them or sellers any money.

    Buyer and seller have to sign a release of contract.  We've never received this.  Once we do we can release the funds.

    I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
    Termination and release of offer was done January 6, 2025. both parties signed and buyers agent informed Absolute Title company of this. The buyer has the right to terminate purchase agreement and should not be forced to purchase a home with so many issues and liabilities to the purchaser. The Seller and agents can't force another to purchase a house after finding out so many issues with the property including a cemetery, foundation issues, health and safety issues as appraised by the Department of Veteran Affairs and what was revealed in the inspection. Absolute Title company and it's agents along with agents for buyer and seller have been trying to make me release funds to the seller or I was threatened with a lawsuit for not purchasing the run down property. The sellers agent ***** ****** and buyers old agent ******** ***** have the completed signed paperwork, which they have been retaining in there records. The property was sold more than once since my original offer was made last year.
