I bought a warranty through a car dealership but after reading customer reviews and a statement that the BBB does rate businesses based on customer reviews I cancelled my warranty contract.
It takes longer this company to process a refund than it takes the IRS to process a paper mail in tax return. Contract was cancelled in May 2025 and I am still waiting.
If it takes that long to process a refund, I seriously do not know how long it will take to process a repair claim.

Do NOT buy a car warranty from them, my transmission went bad, they found the cheapest junk they could get to replace it, the torque converter and plates weren't even the ones that fit it, there was a picture of a pens and the words FU written on it, this was pointed out to us when we had to have transmission replaced again by a professional, DONT DO IT

Hi: My name is Naomi ******. I had my car repaired for a Head Gasket job with my DKP Warranty Coverage. I gave this company a good Review last year on ****** because of the Customer Support I received from George. Now, my Head Gasket is blown again and it's still under but (DKP) has been very deceptive with providing my emails and phone verifications I sent to their company. The Manager Melvin ***** said, "We had to fired George and Kermit who didn't keep good records, thousands of people claim information have been lost." Last year, I reported every detail of my service experience which was horrible. I had the same problems when I picked it up. Before I got home it had broke down again. Those records have somehow been lost!! Melvin ***** now is the manager. When I asked to be transferred to subpoena my records, he never answers nor does he returned any of my calls. I have learned DKP will allow a shop to bill you for things that are covered under their Warranty. This company's practices are deceptive, they will not provide any information to support your claim. I was told by the shop (*** ***** **** ********) I need to pay $300 deductible, I immediately called George asking why? He said, "The things you are charged for wasn't included on the estimate." Red Flag! I would have spent out of pocket money that DKP's Warranty covers. Now they say George and Kermit are fired and Melvin ***** a representative, is now the Manager. He's not helpful, transparent nor is providing the information I request. Beware! Melvin ***** will Stone Wall you and won't return your calls. Red Flags mean, "He is being (Deceptive)."
Melvin ***** has sold his Soul to the Devil to keep his position. We need people on the front line we can, - Trust, which he lacks..... I am trying to reach Mr. Perkins, - the President. "How can a company just lose thousands of people pertinent information? They need to be investigated.

The dealership added this extended warranty to my contract without my knowledge costing me $3500 additional charges and so far this P.O.S company has found a reason to deny every claim on this vehicle even though the gold package is purchased clearly reads that all internal transmission components that touch oil are covered. DKP company is an absolute total scam business that needs to be SHUT DOWN !!

We are sorry you feel this way about our company.
First, the dealer would have had you sign a contract that clearly stated the cost of the contract. So, you should have been aware of the additional cost.
Here is the timeline documented in our system:
You purchased your vehicle on 06/25/2023. You called our Claims Line on 06/26/2023 and stated you had a CEL on and the transmission was running hot. We advised you to take the vehicle to a repair facility for diagnoses and have them call us to start a claim. You called our Claims Line on 06/27/2023 and stated you were having transmission problems and we again advised you to take it to a repair facility for diagnosis and have them call us to start a claim. You called our Claims Line on 12/01/2023 and stated you were having issues with the manifold heater and felt you had a loose bolt. We explained that the manifold heater nor the bolt would be covered. You then asked about brake components and we stated that some brake components would be covered. You advised that you would be taking your vehicle to a repair facility to be diagnosed. You again called our Claims Line on 08/02/2024 to ask if the cruise control was covered. You were informed that many components of the cruise control system would be covered and that you would need to take your vehicle to a repair facility to have the issue diagnosed and have the repair facility call us to start a claim.
A repair facility has never called our Claims Line to start a claim on your vehicle. We, DKP Administration, have never denied a claim because there hasn't been a claim to deny. We repeatedly advised you to take your vehicle to a repair facility to have it diagnosed so a claim could be opened for your repairs.
If you were dissatisfied with the coverage, you could have requested the contract be cancelled and a pro-rated refund sent to your lienholder. But you have never requested your contract be cancelled either.
Again, we are sorry that you feel this way, but DKP Administration was never given the opportunity to approve or deny a claim because a claim has never been called in by a repair facility.

They denied my claim with out looking at complete picture of issues. 3.6 in Jeep Wrangler had catastrophic failure that melted line off of oil cooler and they denied claim because they said the oil cooler was bad. They oil cooler went out as result of different issue. Which has not been determined because further troubleshooting would be in vain after cooler was replace and cooling system is still building pressure.

I purchased a DKP product called Service Shield as a vehicle service contract for my RV. Purchased the top of the line contract as it was my first RV. The water pump goes out two months in. You call the phone numbers and every agent says ‘this isn’t the number you call for the pre-authorization and service.’ I’m looking bright at my contract with the phone numbers. I am four days into figuring this out and keep getting bounced around. The poor agents seem very poorly trained and have no idea how the business works. This is a sham of a company and their product does nothing other than take money from the consumer. Shame on DKP.

This place is a joke! My car was in the shop for 2 weeks from 5/28-6/10. I was told that I would receive rental reimbursement, but could only claim reimbursement from 6/4-6/10 due to the dealership service depart reporting diagnosis on my car a week late. I emailed them the rental receipt, but never received any reimbursement payment. I called today (2 weeks later) to ask why I wasn't reimbursed yet and their story changes to "Oh we can only reimburse you for one day because they only replaced an ABS sensor which is about 15 minutes of work." SMH! Not to mention that they denied the claim that stated my transmission couldn't be repaired because it's a hybrid that's unfixable components. I was told that my transmission would have to completely breakdown before they would pay for the new one. They would rather me end up broke down in the middle of traffic or on the side of the road somewhere before fixing the car. Shameful! They can't make it make sense with their b.s. Until they make it right, I wouldn't recommend that people stay away from this company.

I’m a dealer and got defrauded by this company. Please beware. The entire process was extremely shady, the people involved also extremely shady. I invested about 60k into a reinsurance company to find out in the end them saying I never had a reinsurance company. I have a check written for $3500 to form the off shore company and around 55k in warranties written. I am currently gathering all my docs and will be having a lawsuit brought against them. Beware! It’s all lies!

DKP dba Consumer Care Direct is the worst ever. I took in my 2013 BMW 750.I had a metal fuel line leak which the warranty said it covered. I was told it was not covered because it was the wrong part of the fuel line.Next issue was the oil assembly which is an internal part of the motor that is connected to the oil pump.My shop was told because it was not the actual oil pump it wasn’t covered and unless the oil pump goes out because of that part it wouldn’t be covered. You don’t realize that it is a outside company that handles claims because everything refers to ********* even your service card. The service card don’t even define nor shows the CCD name anywhere on it.It is set up like it is a claims department for *********,not an entire outside company. They are not to be trusted.Don’t waste your money.

I work at a Toyota facility, a gentlemen bought in his 2020 4runner he purchased from an independent dealer. Had 80k miles on it. The independent dealer had replaced a solenoid in the transmission to remedy an hard shifting issue it had. When that didn't fix it he bought it to us and we determined it would need the transmission replaced. I called DKP for coverage, not only did they have a short hold time (unheard of for extended warranty companies, sometimes they make us hold for 40+ minutes just to speak to someone.) But when I sent then the signed invoice for payment, they replied with payment information in minutes. I thought I was dreaming, easiest extended warranty claim I have done in my 6 years as a service advisor. I highly recommend them to anyone.
