On September 19, 2023 the Board for Contractors issues a Final Opinion and Order regarding Cooper's Buildings, LLC for the following violations; 1. Failure to obtain a written change order which are signed by both parties. 2. Failing to respond to an agent of the board or providing false, misleading or incomplete information. 3. Any change of designated employee shall be reported to the Board within 120 days of the change. 4. Failure to satisfy a judgment.

The following describes a government action that has been resolved by either a settlement or a decision by a court or administrative agency. If the matter is being appealed, it will be noted below.
On September 19, 2023 the Board for Contractors issued a Final Opinion and Order regarding Coopers Buildings, LLC. The Board for Contractors found the following violations; 1. Failure of those engaged in residential contracting to comply with the terms of a written contract containing the following; a. When work is to begin and the estimated completion. b. A statement of the total cost and the amounts and schedule for progressive payments including specifics of the down payment. c. A plain-language clause concerning events beyond the control of the contractor and a statement explaining delays do not constitute abandonment and not included in calculating timeframes. d. A statement the contractor will comply with all local requirements for permits, inspections and zoning. e. Disclosure of the cancellation rights of both parties. f. Contractor's name, address, license number and classifications. g. Statement that any modification to the contract must be in writing and signed by both parties. h. Statement notifying consumers of the VA Transaction Recovery fund that includes information on how to contact the Board.
2. Failure to comply with the notification requirements of the VA Underground Utility Damage Prevention Act, Miss Utility.
