I have still yet to see any check or money from ***. I'm also writing a complaint for ******** door as well. 1573.90

I order a door from Lester building supply on nov 16 2022 the doors was put in and it is the wrong color they reorder the door and it still wrong, we paid $5959.98 for a factory stain door, the door they showed us is brown on both sides, the door is yellow on the inside, they want to paint it? We paid for factory sprayed door. I told them to send it back to the factory to have it factory sprayed they said it cost to much, it is their mistake. I told them to give me my money back and when I get a right door from another supplier they can come and get their door. I would rather they give me a factory sprayed door brown on both sides and like I paid for and I will be satisfied. Thanks **** ******

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be sufficient to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

      Regards, ****** ******

we purchase most all of our building package from Lester building supply for our house build which was completed October 2022. This included the window package. I have sent email after email/ made call after call to resolve a Bay window that does not operate properly and leaks, as well as a Patio door that the weather stripping fell off and is difficult to lock. Here we are nearing March 2023 and they still have not sent any one to resolve. this. I was contacted by some contractor who I know nothing about and he promised to be here last Friday ( this is the third Friday I have been promised ) and still no one is here. The manager of Lester Building Supply passed me off to a guy named **** and he passed me off to this contractor that never shows. BTW the contractor they want to send, has a Voice mail that is full so I cannot leave a message and of course he does not answer his phone. I just want what we paid A LOT of money for to operate as it should and NOT leak !!

Yes,  I contacted the Buisness several times over the past few months.  They are all well aware of the issues.    I was finally able to get in touch with the contractor they want to send.  As for the General Contractor,  that was me.  I have been a home builder for over 20 years in another state before settling here.

      Business Response

Lester Building Supply was first called by this customer about their window leaking on or about January 18, 2023.  We reached out the window manufacturer, and after his listening to the situation, strongly suggested that this was an installation and not a product issue.  We communicated that back to the customer and asked that she have her installer come back to inspect his work but she did not.  Instead, she insisted that it was a window and door issue and insisted that the windows be replaced. in the ensuing weeks, she called us again.  We chose to have one of our contractors who installs windows and doors go out to review the situation.  The contractor set up an appointment for that Friday to see the windows.  The contractor failed to see the window as he got sidetracked on another job.  We again set a time for the contractor to view the windows but that contractor again missed the appointment.  This past week our GM and two local window door installers went to Mrs. ******* home to inspect the patio door problem and to check to see why a window was leaking around the perimeter.  The contractor put a level on the door and window.   The sill was bowed and the waterproofing tape was not extended to the full length of the window, also the tape was left over the weep hole and not allowing the water to escape.  This combination of installation deficiencies is allowing water to come through the window and the framing each tie it rains.  We showed and explained this install issue to the customer ad she agreed to contact her contractor that she hired to install the window to come and do the corrective measures.  As for the gasket, the end of it had popped out of its channel, so we pushed it back in and it should be good now.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  My original complaint was emailed to our salesman as far back as November 2022. It took this to get them to send someone out to look at the issues.  The weather strip they " stuck" back on is already loose.  They MIGHT be correct in that it COULD be installation so my installer is coming this weekend. Their guy no showed not once, not twice but three times.  If it is an installation issue ( I reserve that judgement until he looks at what they are pointing fingers too ),  that does not change the fact that it took contacting BBB in order to get any action out of them.
