  Booked 2 workers for 2 hours. They arrived an hour late, smelling strongly of weed, and then we had to actively manage them instead of focusing on other tasks.
  Because we were on a time crunch, we started moving boxes at the time we were told they would arrive. As a result, the movers finished 30 minutes "early", because we'd already done a bunch of the work we paid them to do.
  When I called the company to provide feedback about the above, the manager (owner?) didn't seem receptive to our concerns, instead arguing that 1) weed didn't affect his workers' performance, 2) we got what we paid for (i.e. they finished in under 2 hours), and 3) his workers are accustomed to arriving up to an hour late to jobs. A bizarre end to a frustrating and stressful experience.

  Sorry to hear you were not happy with our service. You called us within 5 minutes of the crew arriving complaining about the Marijuana odor. You also said, "it's DC, so no big deal to you" but, you were concerned about them getting the job done on time because you had to be out by 12 pm and the marijuana could affect their performance. You then mentioned, they have only been there for 5 minutes, it was 10:35am, and you will let me know after the job about the performance. You also said they were an hour late, but, you appreciate them communicating well with you. I mentioned to you that, we do about 90% of our labor only jobs thru online platforms. There is a 1 hour grace for each one of these jobs. I said to you the crew simply thought that this job had a one hour grace period, and was not aware that you booked us directly. I never said "they are used to being an hour late. When the job was completed you called at 12pm, and said they finished in 90 minutes,, but you paid for 120 minutes (2hrs). You wanted to be refunded for 30 minutes. I told you that we do not charge for one and a 1/2 hour of service it's a 2 hour minimum that means 2 hours is the least that you're gonna be paying. I also mentioned to you, if they finished early in 1.5 hrs, then the odor of marijuana probably didn't affect their performance, referring to your earlier concerns. You met your 12 pm deadline, job was done and nothing was damaged. I said we cannot refund you 30 minutes, but I can give you a 5% discount for tardiness and 5% for the odor you did not like. Total discount 10%, you did not think that was enough, and wanted more. Absolutely unreasonable, have a nice day. :-)
