We closed on our model home on 6/10/22. We moved in on 6/17/22. On 6/18/22 we noticed that our HVAC system was not on. I contacted my home sales rep and he told me I needed to call Main Street Homes customer care center emergency number. I called their number that Saturday, 6/18/22 and again on 6/19/22. Finally, on 6/20/22 a representative from Main Street Homes returned my calls and informed me that the model home was sold as is and I needed to call Griffith Heating and Cooling. I called Griffith Heating and Cooling and they sent a repairman to our house on 6/20/22. The repairman looked at the system and said the issue is that the system on and off switch upstairs was turned off. He turned the switch back on and told us it is for turning the complete system on and off. We were presented with a bill for $175.00 which was charged to my credit card. I called Main Street Homes because part of our orientation sale packet states that Griffith Heating and Cooling were to contact us and provide us with “operation and maintenance” of your cooling system. From 6/21/22 until 7/1/22 I contacted Griffith and Main Street homes numerous times and were given reasons such as turning the system off and on is not part of the “operation and maintenance” of the system. On 7/1/22 Main Street Homes customer service replied to another of my emails informing me that a person name Jamie from Griffith would be contacting me. I feel like I am getting the run around and know that any basic “operations” of any system starts with how to turn it on and off and believe I should be reimbursed the amount of $****** I paid for this visit.

In regards to the HVAC concern for 8743 Fishers Green Place:

The HVAC systems were installed in this home and brought in to operation in June of 2018, which makes this home 4 years old at this point in time.  Griffith Heating & Cooling provides a 1 year warranty on all Main Street Homes to cover all problems that may occur, which makes this home 3 years out of the warranty provided.  This was a model home for Main Street Homes and any sales of Model homes I later years by Main Street Homes are sold ‘’as is’’ per Main Street’s protocol. We were informed by Main Street Homes that this home was sold as is when the service call was placed, and that the customer was responsible for payment of any repairs.  In regards to the “ Operation and maintenance” of the equipment, we provide orientations to Main Street Customers on New Home purchases, and only provide them to customers that we are instructed to do so from Main Street Homes.  We were not instructed to provide an orientation to this address as the home was sold as is, with that being said, we had no way to know that the home had even been sold.  Griffith Heating & Cooling performed all tasks exactly as we were instructed by Main Street and per contract guidelines. Please reach out to me, Jamie Madures General Manager, with any further questions or concerns that you may have as I would be happy to help you any way I can with this situation.
