    On March 13, 2024, my dad, ***** ***** and I purchased a refurbished engine from the company USED ENGINES NEAR ME for $3,075.00. The engine was for my 2018 Kia ******** It took about 3 - 4 weeks for us to received the engine. We had a reputable mechanic replace the engine for us. The Kia ******* ran great for about 3 1/2 months when the engine seized. We tried to trouble shoot the problem and the same mechanic came to the conclusion that there were tiny metal shavings in the engines oil. We made our first contact with USED ENGINES NEAR ** on August 01, 2024. They told me they needed a letter from a mechanic explaining the problem with the engine and to email it to them, which I did within 3 days. My follow-up phone call on August 06, 2024, which turned into a non-stop excuse after excuse to not replace our engine began. I was calling 2 - 3 times a week to check the status of my replacement engine but all I got was unprofessional answers or smart alley remarks. They told me I could only speak with *** who is the manager. Here are some examples of their remarks;~ *** is on a long vacation with ***** and they're doing, you know, with each other. We don't know when they will be back ~ *********** are on a long lunch break together, they're doing stuff with each other. We don't know when they will be back ~ Do you want to buy a new or used engine? (after telling them I'm checking on the status of my engine that I got on a 5 year warranty)~ We will work on getting you your replacement engine (after telling them the whole story for the umpteenth time)This went on for about 6 months. They never let me speak with ***. My dad, *****, was also given the same run around.We have spoken to different people and they all know our predicament by now but each time they act like we are speaking for the very first time. So now, my dad and I are taking the next step to file with BBB to get your help. The company has not tried to help us or resolve this. We would like to get a refund
