In March 2023, the Deck Tech built a composite deck for me for $22,000 dollars. They installed boards that are not even and are raised up on the floor. The spacing of the boards on the stairs are not spaced the same. One level of boarding is spaced wider than the other level allowing for grass and weeds to grow between the boards. I paid an extra $875.00 for a barrier and rocks to be placed under the deck and this also was not done correctly. There is grass and weeds growing out of the boards that are on the bottom of the deck at the ground also. I am supposed to get a warranty on workmanship, but they have not come out to correct the issues that I informed them of. I had someone measure the spacing on the boards that have a wider spacing and there is a difference. Dont need to measure the stair spacing, you can look right down and see the brown wood once all the weeds and grass are pulled out. I have had to put a rug down due to the boards sitting soo high in areas. It is easy to injure your toe or foot. Also I should not have to pull the tall weeds and grass each week from where I paid them to put down a barrier and rocks. I noticed they had a lot of rocks left over.

Since receiving the complaint letter, we have met with the homeowner and will be resolving the issue by installing more gravel to help prevent grass and weeds from growing underneath deck and stairs.
