On February 25th, 2025 a technician from A House on a ************************ came out to a property I'm interested in purchasing. During the home inspection, the technician caused damage to one of the windows. Additionally I was not provided with the radon test results, which I paid for, in a timely fashion which impacted my rights as a home buyer to make an informed decision prior to signing additional property contract documentation. I contacted the owner of this company, **** *******, and his written response to my email was that he was refusing to remedy/address ANY of my concerns. My partner then contacted him by phone call. The conversation was recorded and he stated 1) He will NOT be helping us, 2) He will NOT do business with us again under any circumstances, and 3) He denies any accountability for our experience with his company. The disrespect was very unwarranted. I don't know if this is how he treats other good paying customers or if this is just how he decided to treat us today. Either way, it isn't right. At all. Radon IS present inside the home based on the inspection report and as someone who has a medical history with breathing/heart problems, I should have been promptly notified. I am looking for some sort of course correction by A House on a Rock so that we can continue forward in a peaceful manner.

    Business Response

    We didnt break any windows.

We provided all reports that the client paid for.

We did decline any and all future business with the client after they threatened us and they also threatened to book fake inspections with us to confront me in person.

This of course  rises to the level of criminal harassment and intimidation, and we cut ties with the client.

I have nothing else to add.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I have audio and video recording showing that the technician, ******, broke the window and mtly realtor is prepared to make a statement as well. The owner, **** *******, is also fabricating information that he's been threatened when that did not happen. His business license and practice needs to be thoroughly investigated.

    Regards,

    ***** ******

I have attached the following items:

    1. A confirmation email from A House on a Rock for our February 25th 9AM - 11AM home inspection appointment.

    2. Screenshots of a live conversation with my partner, Iyonah ****, at 10:25AM (during the inspection time range) where I told her EXACTLY what had transpired and sent video/photo evidence documenting the damage in real-time. You can literally see ******** white work van outside in front of my red Hyundai.

    Video Footage Link: ***********************************************************************************

    3. A copy of the audio recording between myself, the inspector named ******, and our realtor ******* *****. At the 8:00 min mark you can clearly hear him state something to the effect of "Now we know the window falls down"... proving that this was NOT previously looked at nor touched by anyone other than himself. He broke that window right in front of me and my realtor, and she is willing to make a statement as well if you would like to speak with her.

    Inspection conversation: ***********************************************************************************

This company and it's owner, **** *******, are not being truthful about what transpired during the home inspection. He is purposefully trying to avoid assisting me after I paid $730.00 of my hard earned money for his services which... honestly were not fully completed within the agreed upon timeframe since we did not receive the PAID FOR Radon Test results within the 10 Day Contingency window, there ended up being Radon inside the home which can cause me issues in the future considering my pre-existing health issues, and ****** technician ****** damaged the window during the inspection with absolute zero effort to remedy the situation. On top of that, now **** won't even attempt any form of mediation with his clients... I have never heard of a reputable company that is allowed to treat a customer in this fashion. It's upsetting. Please help.
