      I called for an estimate on dryer vent cleaning. Scheduled my appointment for 6/14/23. The technician entered my home at 1:43p.m.; looked at the dryer- then went out back. I could hear the vent being suctioned. At 1:58pm he reentered my home and told me he was done. He went to his truck to write the invoice - (it took him a while as he came back in at 2:10 p.m. and presented me with a bill for $******. I paid it. He then started talking about himself, marriage, military service, etc - it distracted me - I paid the bill. I believe he cleaned the dryer duct vent but I was not informed he was doing a sweep nor did I know what a sweep was. I am 73 years old and post heart surgery; I walk with a rolling walker so I could no follow him around to see exactly what he was doing. I trusted he would do it. I called the office that same afternoon to ask why the charge was so high and the lady who answered the phone said “I’m sorry” and she said the charge was right. The office says they tape all of their calls, I did not say I would pay $****** to have my dryer vent cleaned; yes I did schedule appointment to clean the dryer vent. The tech wrote on the invoice. “A sweep was completed.” I signed it assuming he was referring to the dryer vent.
      I was told they have a tracker in their trucks and they know what time he got here and what time he left; I am not disputing that but I did jot down the times as the events occurred. They also should have 3 phone calls for me as I was told they tape their calls.
      1. Call for appt for cost to clean dryer vent & schedule
      2. Called back to confirm appt because she at first said Tuesday; then quickly said Wednesday 6/14
      3. Called day of service questioning the outrageous charge for $****** for vent cleaning.
      I have shared what I paid with neighbors and not one of the said they paid any where near this to have their dryer vents cleaned.
