    Have used A1 for 15 + years. Had an issue with my outside unit not working this past summer. I knew it was the starting capacitor. When you manually turned the fan when the unit turned on it worked fine. Service tech. came by confirmed that its was the capacitor. He replaced it. I went inside the house to close all the windows. When I came back out the tech. told me my compressor was bad. Said that a replacement if available would be around $4k. If the compressor was not available would have to replace both the outdoor & indoor unit. The tech. removed the new capacitor and left. I called another tech. to look at the unit. He installed a new capacitor the unit has worked fine ever since (no issues with the compressor). He also checked the availability of a new compressor which was still available. A1 called me a few days later saying that the compressor was not available and they would have to install a new system both inside and outside. Please get a second opinion if dealing with these folks!!! If I hadn't been savvy enough to know what was going on. I would have had over a $10K bill vs. $9.00 bill for the capacitor and time for the tech. to install.
