I am a handicapped retired senior on a fixed income and I was scammed. I was in the process of moving from Newport News to Seattle. I had tried some bids on line but felt them not trustworthy. I was looking at * ***l and Pods but my daughter suggested I get bid from more well know large moving companies. Allied sent Shawn ****** to give me a Binding Bid and ***** ******** sent Jeff ******* to give me a Binding Bid. They each came to my home and walked through my entire house and even into the closets. They then each sent me a BINDING BID. They were IDENTICAL in the amount except for ****** charged more for the car. ******** BINDING PRICE was $********* (including car). N**** ********** BINDING PRICE was $*********. I was told by them that my curios would be packaged and they charged extra for that. I packed the shelves. They said my furniture would be wrapped in blankets and very well taken care of. I called Jeff ******* and asked point blank, so this BINDING PRICE is firm and can’t change. He said yes it was a guaranteed bid. I accepted. I had to make a partial payment up front. After furniture taken I had to pay another ****** to get it back It was just one week later. The bid was May 11 and I moved May 16. How could both men get the same cost guaranteed cost estimate? Because they work together. There was nothing else that I could do by agree with not guarantee it would not be more later.
