This company was hired to do some renovation in our home. Since the renovation they have come to make repairs on three different occasions. The "repairs" have not been solutions and we have not heard anything further from them. We have had to hire other contractors to make our home livable. They were hired to renovate our master bathroom. We have had to remove the shower they installed because the water was draining out of the shower and the shower door would not open on one end. The last time they were here to work on the shower they were unsure as to how to fix the problem. When removing the tile we found that the tile was laid directly on sheetrock instead of waterproofing board and the shower floor tray was laid on top of a slab of uneven concrete which didn't even extend the full length of the shower stall. We have had to replace the French doors leading out of the sunroom since rainwater was coming in through the doors. The original doors were not installed/framed properly and with no waterproofing. We have had rainwater come into *********** on several occasions, which has caused our flooring to pop up and mold to grow on the subflooring. They scrubbed the mold with ammonia at one point and put fans on it but failed to find out where the water was coming in at, so it happened again. We have had to pull up all of the *** flooring and have it replaced. It is separating and cracking because there was no vapor barrier or leveling compound installed. These are just a few of the things that have needed to be corrected as we have had to prioritize which problem is worse. We have now run out of money to fix all of the problems they left us with.I have attached an itemized list.

*******************************'s perception of the details and performance of our project are inaccurate.  The proof in our text messaging and pictures provided shows that ******************************* was informed of the workmanship defects and refused to answer or fix the problems.

    Business Response

We have made no offer in our responses.  Our effort was to detail the facts as we recall them from (sometimes) over three years ago.  The facts remain the same - many of the provided photographs are of a work in progress, not a final product.  And the initial handwritten "punchlist" was the only request we had for repairs, which was received outside of the state's one-year period, but still performed.   In addition, the three unfinished repairs would have been completed as part of the proposed additional work in the Fall of 2022, once we had received a response from the Owners on the additional scope of work.  Without notice, their choice of using a different contractor to make major changes, without our being notified or allowed to see what, if any, additional repairs may be necessary, is just not right.  Our work for the past 30 years without any complaints stands for our work ethics.  The Owners know we would have returned, as we did once, to address any additional requests for repairs, if we had only been notified of the new request.  I have no further comments.

My sole purpose for reaching out to the BBB is simply to warn other consumers of the poor craftsmanship of this company and to prevent others from losing their retirement money creating their final dream home to live out the rest of their lives.

Mr. Rightmyer is correct in saying The facts remain the same however he is false in the next statement many of the provided photographs are of a work in progress.  The photographs provided were taken after Rightmyer Construction left our premises and never returned and refused to contact me back as proven in our text message thread.
