  I wish 0 or -5 was an option. I was referred to Curtis by my realtor in mid-June of 2023 because a dead bat was discovered in my house while it was listed for sale. I asked Curtis for an estimated cost and an estimated completion date because I was in the process of selling my house. He quoted me a price and a 2-3 week time period due to it being hurricane season in Va. We agreed and he said he would start on the first day of August due to the fact that bats are a protected species. I asked him multiple times if he would be ready to go on August 1st, and he assured me he would get it done. As August 1st approached I asked Curtis to provide me with a detailed estimate so I could see where the money would be spent (thousands & thousands of dollars). The only thing he would put in the estimate was that he would be using certain supplies, he needed a lift + 20%, and that it may take up to 90 days versus the 2-3 weeks he originally quoted me. I asked him for a second and more detailed estimate which was almost exactly the same as the first one, but he added in that he wasn't a contractor. The estimates were very vague and written in a way that he made excuses before he even started work on the property. Multiple calls and emails went unanswered as August 1st came and went, which had me scrambling to find another professional to do the job he quoted and assured me he would complete. When it came time to put on paper what he claimed he could do he wouldn't, so use this "professional" at your own risk. FYI, the cost of a lift was quoted as $3,200 a month, so add in an extra 20% he requested and you have quite a bill. I have multiple emails and "estimates" supporting my statement.
