They charged a debit card fee, which is not allowed by the Durbin Amendment, which is a national law.
"The Durbin Amendment directs the Federal Reserve Board to regulate debit card interchange fees so that they are “reasonable and proportional to the cost incurred by the issuer with respect to the transaction.* ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

The link you posted is contradicting to your complaint. If a card is used you are charged a convenience fee. Thanks

You guys towed a car that was parked in the correct stop with the correct parking pass because you “didn’t see the parking pass” We were never told where to put the parking pass, and the fact that you towed it and STILL MADE US PAY $200 shows just how lazy you are for not doing a full check of the car. This business is very unprofessional and will do anything just to get money out of people when they know well and clear they are in the wrong and should never of towed the car in the first place. I suggest getting better employees that actually follow the rules and know what they are doing.
One more thing that is unrelated to this incident, just because a vehicle is not in the drivers name doesn’t mean you can hold a car in your lot for over a week. If they have proof of ID and proof that the owner of the car said they can pick up the vehicle you don’t have a right to hold it. You mainly tow college students and most of them don’t have cars in there names.

Car was in the middle of the parking lot not a space, state law says registered owner has to retrieve vehicle. Towing fees are set by the state. We don’t make you read the parking rules you signed but it’s highly encouraged because it states where your decal goes.

Horrible business. They not only tow, they refuse to give you your vehicle and they prey on the local college kids thinking they are easy to fleece money from. They ask for a letter or verbal release from any damages to your car and that should tell you everything you need to know. This business is so corrupt that if you have the unfortunate opportunity to deal with these rude people, you may want to bring a police escort or your lawyer with you. No joke. They refuse to give you your car and when you leave to get what they ‘say you need’ (all lies to get more money each day) you come back and they are mysteriously gone and they don’t answer their phone. Tow truck companies are to be available to customers 24/7. By phone or in person, no exceptions. I don’t know how Radford can continue to let these dishonest people continue to operate.

You drive the car off of the tow truck while it was in the air, why wouldn’t we make you give us a release for your mistake. No office is open 24/7, I explained all of this to you today. Have a good night

The service they offer is that of a common car thief. Parked in an empty lot and was towed within 30 min while taking my daughter food. Would not recommend the business for anyone. The “supervisor” I spoke with was very unprofessional. Will also be talking with the property manager about the ”service” that JES offers their renters. Be very wary of this “business”. Seems pretty shady that they only take cash payments as well with no receipt. Left 1 star only because 0 stars was not an option.

This business is pretty much stealing cars. Non descript signs and trolling looking for cars during a busy University move out weekend. I was in a spot less than ten minutes in the same parking lot as my kid’s apartment and they swooped in. I came out and it was 150 cash. Not only is it ethically wrong, they should be investigated for tax fraud.

We're sorry for the inconvenience, visitor passes are supplied to all guests from the rental office. our job is to make sure the paying tenants have parking at their convenience. Signs are posted as the state requires them to be. The lots are monitored 24/7 for the tenants, it's all listed in the lease and parking agreement the leasee signed.
