  This is a very sketchy and unresponsive company. They inspected and cleaned our chimney on 10/21/24. The technician gave the flue liner a satisfactory rating but suggested three other services be done totaling $829 (in addition to the $69.99 inspection and cleaning fee. The technician sent pictures to the owner of the company. The owner then called and said there is a stage 2 build up of creosote in the flue liner and said it was very important to treat it for $695. I thought this was very suspicious since the technician had already given the flue liner a clean bill of health! I told them I wanted to think about the repairs and asked the technician to send me the pictures. He said he would and left. He didn't send the pictures so I called the next day (10/22) and spoke with someone in the office to remind them to send the pictures and told them I was thinking about having two of the services done. The owner called me on 10/23 and said that he would see that they were sent to me. Still no pictures. I called again on 10/30 and spoke with the owner again. He was driving to the office and asked me to text him my information and request. I did so but never heard back from him.

  Contacted them through coupon from REACH, came out to clean and inspect chimney with wood stove end of Sept. Also entered into agreement to repair front brick steps. Chimney cleaned and inspected, only finding chimney crown repaired. Agreement reach for both repairs downpayment given. They never showed on day of appointment to repair chimney crown, no call, no text. Contacted company only to be told work was done. It wasn't. Spoke with owner a week after scheduled appointment, he eventually admitted mistake work wasnot done. Request a refund (still waiting for that) and cancel all future work. Week later had to remove wood stove from fireplace, direct view of chimney and it didnot look good. Took pictures sent to RVA informing owner cleaning wasnot done. He said had to take his own pictures. He called a few minutes before scheduled appointment stating he couldnot come because of a previous job commitment but will come after. Almost 2 hours later the same employees that came to do the cleaning in Sept are at my door saying "here to do an inspection". I informed them I did not request an inspection your boss was coming to take pictures of the chimney since the ones I sent were not good enough to see the condition of the inside of chimeny. He took pictures and left. Few minutes later my door bell rings it's employee handing me a paper to sign. I asked what is this? He says the inspection report. I told him I'm not signing this I didnot request a second one from your company and asked him to leave. Later that evening received text from owner of company its the inpection report which is totally different that the one from Sept. Now everything is unsatifactory (surprise surprise). I had already reached out to another chimney company who has sinced come inspected and cleaned. Discussed what repairs I needed to have chimney functional again. They were very upfront and professional.Dont use RVA chimney company not professional at all.
