    Vendor installed television cable in a newly constructed home. I have been having intermittent problems with my cable television and internet signal. *** troubleshooted the issue on Tuesday March 25, and has determined that the issue with my internet and television is the video cable was place too close to the electrical cables. Tribble was notified on Thursday that there is and issue with the cabling. Tribble is now asking the owner to cover the cost for faulty installation that they performed as a part of new home installation. As a reputiable installer they should have known better to install the cable too close to electric cable or use better shielded cable.

    Customer called our office on March 31, 2023 and spoke with our residential department about the issue.  Customer was advised that since their one year warranty expired June 07, 2022, this work could no longer be covered.  Per Tribble Electric policy, warranties are valid one year from the final inspection date for the home's electrical permit.Tribble Electric would be happy to get them on the schedule to come repair anything that could be interfering with their cable, but would have to charge them for the trip.   Our residential department has spoken with the customer and he said that he was going to be reaching out to *** Communications again.  As of writing this reply, we are still waiting on customer to call back with any updates.

    I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    Tribble reached out to the owner to discuss the issue and provided a suggestion for the customer to reach out to *** Cable and have them to install a temporary cable directly to the house to verify that indeed the cable is faulty.  Tribble and I did not come to an agreement that the cost of replacement is the responsibility of the owner. This has been and intermittent problem and has difficult to troubleshoot since the owner has moved in the house.  My orginial complaint and resolution is that Tribble cover the cost from a third party, due to other issues that I have with Tribble and repairs at this resident and do not trust the quality of Tribble's repair and installation staff.  I am requesting that this complaint stays open until my issues is resolved.
