On 3/17/25, I scheduled an appointment for your team to remove a large cell phone cabinet, approximately the size of a refrigerator. The initial quote provided by your team was $846. However, after I declined the service due to the high cost, I was asked for my budget, which I advised was no more than $300. Despite this, the price was suddenly reduced to $500, still significantly above my stated budget. I was told that the original price was due to the size of the truck required for the job, which I later discovered to be untrue. What's more concerning is that this is not my first experience with your company. I had previously scheduled an appointment, which I cancelled after the original contractor offered to remove the cabinet. However, when they were unable to fit the cabinet on their truck, I was forced to reschedule with 1-800-JUNK.During the pricing negotiation, the previous cancelled appointment was used as leverage to reduce the price. I feel that this was unfair and that the transparency of your pricing was compromised.Furthermore, the removal experience was also subpar. The initial crew was unable to complete the removal and required additional assistance, which delayed the removal by approximately 2 hours after payment was made. To make matters worse, the drivers blocked the road, causing an interruption in work by **************** which was ongoing in the area.

The service was completed 2.5 hours after payment was received. An adjustment is being requested because I was falsely advised the pricing was due to the item taking the entire bed of the truck. This information was provided by phone as I was nor physically on site however the field engineer assigned to this location provided photos contradicting the explanation. This violates the Consumer Protection Act as it was not only deceitful but an agregious misrepresentation. Additionally, my previous cancelled appointment was used as pricing leverage unethically. Their website states for one item it is priced by single item.

"When you have only one item to remove, we price the item individually based on size. (For example, a dresser would cost more than a microwave.) If you have more than 1 item, your price is based on truck volume"

My single item was priced based on the truck volume NOT as advertised, this is a direct violation of Virginia Code Title 59.1. "Advertising goods or services with intent not to sell them as advertised, or with intent not to sell at the price or upon the terms advertised"

On May 6, 2024 1-800-GOT-JUNK removed an old bed from my house. In doing this they damaged a wall by putting a big hole in it. I paid them $437.80 for their service. I was told by the men removing the bed that the company will pay to have the hole fixed. They gave me the name of their Director of Operations (**** ******** - *************************************** and I contacted him by phone *************). He asked that I find someone to fix the damaged wall and they will reimburse me. I contacted my house painter and he came and patched the hole and painted the wall. He charged me $185.00 to do the work. I scanned the work order with a description of what was done to fix the wall and the cost of $185.00 and emailed this to Mr. ******** on May 31, 2024. By July 9, 2024, I had not received the reimbursement so I called Mr. ********* He told me his supervisor needed to approve the payment and that he will call him to remind him. By August 28, 2024, I still had not been paid so I emailed Mr. ******** requesting the reimbursement and informed him that if I am not paid by September 11, 2024 I will file a complaint with the ********************** It is September 12, 2024 and I still have not been reimbursed for the damage repair. Please help me obtain the $185.00. Thank you
