    Took a Stihl Blower in for repair at ******** location. I was told problem would be diagnosed in 2-4 days. Had to call for update as had not had any communication a week and a half later. Still had not diagnosed problem. I called back 2 days later & gave ok to go ahead with the repair. Today is a week later and had to call back again for an update- still waiting for parts I was told. From start to finish I feel as if I have been jerked around and the manager gave me a false timeline on the diagnostics and repair from the beginning. Steer clear of this business at all costs.

    We are sorry that you are not happy with the time frame of the repair, but quite honestly we have no control over shipping services. No one can tell you definitely a time frame on repairs, it is a guess at best, unless there is no one else involved which includes technicians, vendors, parts, and delivery services. Any number of people or services can delay the repair process, and some times things fall through the cracks as well. I checked on the parts myself yesterday, and the tracking information says that they should arrive today, May 3, 2024. If the parts do arrive as scheduled, and that *** or *** not happen, we will most likely have the piece repaired at the beginning of next week. If this is the case, the unit should be completed in three weeks from the time it was brought in. Currently, most shops are 6 to 8 weeks out on repairs, others have a 3 month backlog. Best Wishes!

    Your statement "We make it very clear upfront that the deposit is paid before we look over the equipment, and that the deposit goes towards the repair." was not stated to me. The portion "the deposit goes towards the repair" was left out probably inadvertently. I am not accusing the company of any wrong doing, just that the statement given in your response was not given to me completely. Because it was not clearly stated, I called for clarification, and was told that the deposit applies to the repair. I still was not told that the estimate was over the phone estimate I was given. We can go back and forth more, but the reality is I was not informed completely. Period. Will I use the shop again, YES. That means that the miscommunication is not that big a deal, but was an issue.

    First I must say that I am pleased with the repair. There is a difference between a deposit and a non refundable diagnostic fee. I was told that a deposit of $132 was required to diagnose the mower and that fee would be applied to the repair. Then I was given a repair estimate of $306. Afterwards, I found that the $132 was a fee to diagnose the problem and look over the rest of the machine ( which I did not request but I'm glad they did). So, the actual repair cost was $438 rather than $306. I told ******* that $300 was all I was willing to spend on a 12 year mower so $306 was close enough. At $438 I would have skipped the repair and scrapped the mower or done the ************ change my self.. All I ask is consistent and truthful up front price quotes.

    We make it very clear upfront that the deposit is paid before we look over the equipment, and that the deposit goes towards the repair. If for any reason the equipment is not repaired, we retain the deposit for our time. When we quote a repair price we state what the cost of repairs after the deposit would be, whatever it works out to be, in your case, apparently, that was $306.00. My understanding is that you believed that the total including the deposit was $306.00. We are sorry if you didnt understand this to be the case, but we have had very few instances over the past *************************************************** potential customers and it was not understood. We believe it is a very straight forward way of stating the case. Obviously, you do not agree, but this is our policy and it has worked very well for many years. We look over the unit thoroughly so that hopefully there are no surprises. Whether you have us repair all of the issues or not, we want you to know potential issues to the best of our knowledge.     Bad business to deal with will do something that will make your mower break down and then claim that they never did anything to cause it scammers are all this business is
