    *** Jeffers Company *** was recommended by other contractors. They told ** they are licensed and specialize in roofing and siding only. we hired and signed the contract on December 1st, 2022. They started the project located on ***************************************************************** on December 28,2022 and finished the job on 02/10/2022. Month later we notice the shingles are coming off on the rear side of garage roof and most of the shingles are bent. They didn't straighten them up before nailed in and nailed improperly. Due to hot weather shingles are coming up. I have attached pictures FYI. We have contacted them numerously via phone, text and email but they are ignoring **. We have hired another roof contractor to fix this problem, also attached the proposal from the other contractor we will be using. I have attached the pictures.     FACT:  The shingles where applied and nailed as per manufacture specification.  We where called after a hard wind storm, mid month April and four shingles had been blown off and damaged. Those shingle where replaced with new product for FREE to the customer who should have requested a claim with their insurance company.  They have NOT answered any call regarding any follow up work we have provided and continue to be unresponsive to any other questions regarding the project.  We have never had an issue with the customer until the wind damaged their roof and I am saddened that they think we are responsible for their damages and we have no intensions of paying there claim for 4 shingles.

    I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ******** and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    It is not acceptable that wind did the damage, that is not true, and they came month later, and they only replace 1 shingle not 4. We have gone to the neighbors and their roof has been installed 20 years ago and nothing is damaged or blown away. Our roof is brand new and heavy-duty shingles.  *** Jeffers didn't replace the ones they were broken and those were buckling. The shingles blowing off the roof and other large areas are buckling because apparently,they didn't follow the cold weather installation instructions.  Upon closer inspection we have found broken and crooked shingles on the ridge vent.They never straighten shingle up or use the torch to warm it up to straighten them. I will email all the pictures I took, and you will see the facts.  I have been a General Contractor over 30 years and have never seen as bad of a job than this one.  The closer you look the worse it gets.  When you hire a professional roofer, you expect that everything will be done correctly with careful supervision- that's what you pay them for-I don't have time to micromanage every trade.  These looks like it was done by total amateurs. As I mention on previous complaint, We tried to call for this problem to **** who is the nephew of the company owner, and he oversaw this project he has never reply to ** back. we have called the main office to talk with the owner 15 times and they put ** in hold and never pick up the phone. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! We been contacted them for 3 weeks, this is the reason why I decided to put a complaint to BBB. Due to the file size, I will be sending the pictures via email.

    We received a call three weeks ago that the customer had sustained wind damage to his roof at the building site of a new home.  now I am hearing a totally different story.  The shingles where a custom color and had to be shopped to match, we did that and had one of our tech's go and install the missing shingles, as reported due to the wind damage. ********************** continues to change this story and before long we will be ask to fix his driveway.

    Other sub contractors on the project are have similar issues with ***********************  The better business bureau can look at the history of my company and see never a complaint in 42 years.  I consider this matter over.

    The wind is not the cause of the roof failure. Job was done poorly as you can see in the pictures. That's not a standard shingles,they are very thick. All the buckling up is not done by the wind. I don't know who is replying to BBB. We signed the contract with *********  The company is responsible for Improper installation being done. So, the pictures I sent to this portal is the fact. If I need to hire the inspector and get the third opinion, they we'll be ending up replacing whole roof. The Valleys on entire house, they are wrong installation.With this type shingles, the thickness of shingles they are not flexible to go into the valley. It should be metal flashing.
