    My driveshaft snapped on a recent road-trip. I had the Jeep towed to Mynitor’s in Roanoke and after I paid and picked it up from Mynitor’s the driveshaft snapped again after about 50 miles. I had the Jeep towed about 192 miles to the mechanic in ********** and the mechanic in ********** informed me that Mynitor’s in Roanoke installed the incorrect type of driveshaft. The driveshaft should have been a 3 joint lifted driveshaft and a change was required on the differential pinion yoke and the transfer case yoke. Which Mynitor’s did not do.

    The driveshaft that Mynitor’s installed appears to be a rusty part even though they told me they were installing a new part.

    I called Mynitor’s after the driveshaft they installed snapped again and he only offered to refund around $350 for towing, however the total towing costs I incurred were $710. I also travelled from ********** to pickup the Jeep in Roanoke which was around a 6 hour trip on ****** and after the Jeep broke down again I had to wait for 4 and a half hours on a wrecker. I had to get back to ********** and could not simply just come back to Mynitor’s to have it re-assessed.

    Mynitor’s was not helpful at all when I called and told him I had broken down and he only offered a $350 refund, he stated “I’m not making any money” without any regard to my situation, I had travelled 6 hours and was stranded on the interstate for 4 1/2 hours waiting on a wrecker because the work Mynitor’s did was not adequate. I requested a refund from Mynitor’s via text message and got no response and Mynitor’s has since made no effort to contact me.

    I believe that Mynitor’s should issue me a full refund in the amount of $1662.01 for the repair that was not adequate and also reimburse me for the $710 in towing costs.

    No.  This man came in and his jeep had been altered and it was not visible that it had been altered and he did not tell us before hand that other shops refused service after letting them know.  He did not inform us because he did not want to be turned away.  We replaced the old part (rusty looking part that was the old part he has pictured) with the exact same part but brand new.  We do not use preference parts.  We only use OEM, as do almost every other shop unless stated they do performance.  This man was belligerent but was told to come back and we would repair it.  He refused.  Next time he needs to tell the garage that he wants performance parts so they can send them to someone that does that.  WE ONLY USE ORIGINAL PARTS FOR VEHICLES.  We are not a performance shop.  Super sorry.
